I brought a car from these people in March 2014 (it was a Ford Fusion). By July 2015, it was ready for the scrapheap. Prior to that, it transpired that the car had a whole host of problems including an incorrect flywheel fitted, a towbar that was incorrectly wired. a loose coolant pipe which was worn down the fan and broke spitting coolant all over the engine, as well as a hole in the fuel line. In July 2015 the cam belt went at 110,00 despite the vehicle documentation saying it had been replaced at 90,000. This wrecked the engine and the car had to be scrapped as it was beyond all economical repair. Still had to pay off the finance though. Please, please, please if you're considering buying a car do not buy it from this company.

Response to owner: Then your records are wrong. I have no reason why I would make this up. I would be more than happy to send you proof of my purchase of the car from you and to anyone else. It certainly is a funny coincidence that all your negative reviews seem to be fabricated according to your company.

Response to owner 2: Your apology is not accepted. Perhaps you should have checked into it further before accusing me of lying. I also note you have deleted your original ignorant response to my concerns. I would add that I do not appreciate you broadcasting details of my finance arrangements on a public forum but that isn't unexpected. As to your bemusement about the flywheel, feel free to be as bemused as you like. It's the truth. The vehicle would be going along and the gear stick would freeze. You sold me a car which was fundamentally unsafe. I know that this had something to do with the flywheel which I was told by a mechanic in Seaford, East Sussex (a reputable one I might add) was either incorrectly fitted or the wrong one was fitted. Either way, it needed to be repaired and I did report that to you at the time - another failure of your records, I suppose? I would be happy to contact the mechanic in Seaford and provide you with a detailed account of what was wrong with the car, particularly the flywheel aspect. As to the cam belt, the "service history" which I strongly suspect was falsified stated that the car had a brand new cam belt fitted at 90,000 miles. I find this dubious since cam belts are supposed to last for longer than 20,000 miles. The bottom line is that you sold me a defective car and had I not been an inexperienced driver at the time I would've taken you to court for it. Now I will warn others to avoid your company at all costs until you apologise for selling me a defective vehicle and provide appropriate restitution.

I’ve used this garage for a number of years for MOTs Services and workshop stuff and always found them to be professional helpful friendly and reasonably priced, recently I bought my first car from them it was a smooth excellent transaction finance all sorted and they gave me a generous price for my old car too...very happy infact ...a week later they were also only too happy with helping me to transfer my cherished plate onto my new car.. love a family run local business I can recommend Bexhill Motors will definitely consider buying from them again ....
