Long wait of around one hour to be seated at 11am. No bookings can be made. Lovely decor and atmosphere. The table service was great, but the lady managing the guests waiting to be seated was very rude.
The afternoon tea experience at Betty’s Northallerton has been downgraded but the price still set at £30pp.nnYou used to be able to chose your tea and you used to be offered more sandwiches. Now you get four triangles which adds up to a very tiny sandwich. They weren’t even anything impressive either, I’ve had better.nnThe scone was nice but slightly stale. The cakes were nice but all in all it definitely wasn’t worth £30. The staff were also a bit slow on service but I didn’t mind so much.nnI used to love this place but I won’t be coming back, for the afternoon tea at least. For £30 you really need to improve your game.
Loved it, the staff were so attentive. The food is amazing and the ambience just takes you back to days of tea dances. It was a beautiful day so we sat in the courtyard
I always feel so welcomed when I go to Bettys with my family. The staff are always so polite and friendly and are very quick to assist when needed. During the summer months there are two queues outside, one for the restaurant and the other for the bakery side. Normally the bakery side moves pretty quickly which is what we mostly go for. The prices are slightly higher than average but you get that premium quality.
Delicious food, variety of food was excellent. Service incomparable. I had the rosti breakfast and my travelling partner had the full English breakfast. Both delicious. Tea was scrumptious, served well. A short wait, nothing significant.
