We went into the Oak Room for an evening meal. It was the dog friendly room. I am a wheelchair user and entered through the main entrance and vis the bar area. We had starters and mains. Everyone enjoyed their food and drinks.
Went for wife's birthday meal and what a total disappointment, got impression from website that it was a fine dining restaurant, turned out to be a very poor pub meal. Service so bad it was laughable. 1 starter was totally wrong, one of main meals was supposed to come with onion rings, none on plate when this was pointed out to staff, no waitresses, just bar staff , young girl just walked off, 10 minutes later male member of bar staff came to table with a saucer with 1 onion ring on, dropped it on table and walked off with no apology or anything. Needless to say will NEVER EVER go here again. Rubbish
At a wedding held here, had a bbq and some of the burgers were still raw. Not very organised for it being a wedding. Took tables away when changing to evening reception and said that’s all the tables they had. Bar staff were really good but organisers need better attitude and manners
Very misleading menu on the website, the evening a la carte menu advertised is out dated so many items are not available.nGlad I checked before arriving for my wedding anniversary meal and have now made a reservation with a local restaurant with an accurate up to date menu.nVery poor
My father & I stayed at The Vine a few months back. It was the first time I’d stayed in a hotel, and I wasn’t disappointed…nnIt is a lovely hotel, small but with a friendly atmosphere. Food was a bit pricey but very delicious!nnThe location was around a 3 minute drive away from Skegness Promenade. It wasn’t hard to find as on the main road, there was a big sign saying “The Vine Hotel.” You couldn’t miss it!nnIn terms of the room, we booked 2 single beds, which were very comfy! The room was warm, clean and spacious. We had drink making facilities, a large TV and a nice view of the car park.nnThe bathroom too was great. There was a bath and a shower over said bath. The shower was quiet powerful too… And of course, there was a sink and a toilet.nnOverall, a very nice experience. We stayed for 2 nights whilst we watched my cousin race in the local stockcars championship.nnWe would definitely go again. If your looking for a hotel that’s cosy but not too expensive, The Vine is for you!
