Have been getting food from Best Spice for the last 5 years. I’ve never been disappointed and think they are one of the best in Bristol. Tried many different dishes, all of them tasty and well put together. The staff are great, polite and happy to discuss dishes and make recommendations. Delivery has always been in the time they say, which is nearly always around 45 mins. Collection nearly always within 30 mins and then there’s a discount. What more could you want.
2hrs now since placing our order, and still waiting. Was advised due to being busy it would take 1/1.5hrs, so gave them the benefit of the doubt. Called the restaurant just now and all I'm told is "he's on his way". Thought this would be a nice treat for the family on a Saturday night, now it's just a game of when or IF we get to eat tonight. This was a first order of an advertised take away that came via flyer, it's now definitely the last and I would not recommend to anybody. Food arrived and was not enjoyable. Biggest anticlimax ever. Threw most of it away
Best Spice have been our favourite takeaway out of all the ones we've tried. Highly recommend, especially for the portion sizes of the takeaway for x-number of people usually feeds more.
Not the fastest take away. Never have been they usually get it spot on however with taste. So it's with a heavy heart I write this, the last two meals from here have been utter waste. The jalfrazi I had on one occasion was burnt or didn't taste right also the naan wasn't tasty either. Also on another the bag of food had been dropped. Not the end of the world but again the taste didn't live up to the quality it was known for...
A great curry which came very quickly. A really good selection of food at good prices. Better than many I've eaten from other places. We were quoted 45 minutes for delivery on Saturday night and the food was with us in less than 30.
Unfortunately this was the worst Indian I have ever had. I asked for paneer with spices as a starter, was hoping for chilli paneer but would have been ok with just paneer tossed in some spices. The restaurant mentioned this is not on the menu but they will be happy to make something. Turns out they charged me for a starter dish and provided me with paneer that was simple deep fried in oil, with no spices, and simply bland. To make the situation worse, the aloo chaat I ordered was basically some potatoes in sauce, that could have resembled mashed up baby food, and the butter chicken was literally baby food with undercooked chicken pieces. I don't think I have ever been so disappointed with an Indian delivery.
It has sign up saying there are three kinds of service: Cheap; Fast; and Good. Such a shame this is none of those. Add to that the incredibly poor customer service and visible level of cleanliness customers can see the kitchen easily from the waiting area and this place really is not good.
Can't really find a really nice curry place in Bristol so I'm doing the rounds, came across this place and thought I'd try it... Phoned up and made my order was told an hour and as it's Saturday night wasn't really bothered... Actually came after 30 mins good start Then it goes down hill I asked for a madras and what I actually got was more like a tikka, the curry was really runny and watery the chicken 5 pieces was not even properly cooked and to top it off I found a hair! Binned! My search continues.
Avoid at all costs!!! Ordered through JUST EAT added 50mins to delivery time taking time to 9:25pm then after no show spent over 30mins calling constantly to find out where food is and no one picked up once! Absolutely disgraceful will never order from them again and strongly advise anyone else doing the same.
Delivery service late, called up and in back ground the other phone was ringing, and was told to wait while he talks on the other phone? Food was suppose to arrive at 18:05.... 45 minutes and still waiting! Food absolutely disgusting n freezing cold further action will be taken
