A good site to visit on a dry day. Open to the elements. It gives a fair sense of what the place was like in its prime. Information placards supplement the evidence from the ruin.

Limited free parking is available within walking distance. Berkhamsted Station is immediately adjacent to the site?

Partially preserved walls and large earthworks.  Decent information boards.  Worth a visit but only takes 30mins to see the lot.

I saw it from the 11:03 Virgin train from Liverpool to Euston. Worth every second. All seven.

My dogs loved all the places they could climb up to and walking around the embankment, as well as running around on the grass! Parking was free but limited nearby.
