Finding my perfect wedding dress was everything I could have hoped for. I had an amazing experience with the ladies from Berketex Bride in Leeds. Nothing was too much trouble and they were extremely helpful. If you are looking for your dream dress at an affordable price, this is the perfect place. Thank you so much ladies! I will be recommending you to all my bride friends!
My wife ordered a dress from here 18 months before our wedding. We were told it would arrive 3 months before the big day. Just weeks before the wedding - still no contact or news from the shop. My wife was understandably getting stressed so she contacted them to find out what was happening. The dress still hadn't turned up, they had no idea where it was or when it would arrive. They were also ridiculously rude to her the whole time too. She had no time left to hope the dress would arrive before the wedding and get a fitting done, so we had to forsake the deposit we gave them and get another dress. To say I'm unhappy with how they've treated us is an understatement. What kind of wedding dress shop risks not having the dress arrive before the wedding?! They basically took £200 of us for nothing. The customer service is the worst I've experienced. No contact and extremely rude to us when we tried to find out what was happening. They couldn't provide their basic service which was provide give you a dress that you paid for. That's what you risk if you choose them.
Today I went into your Leeds store to try and book an appointment to try on wedding dresses for my wedding in 2017. We were greeted by the store assistant and I explained what I wanted to do. She asked me when I was getting married, and then followed that by questioning how serious I was about getting married. Her reasons for questioning my commitment to my future husband was because she seemed a bit confused by it been two years away. She told me that you guys have different designers in and that in two years I may have changed my mind. Now, who is she to question my commitment? And who is she to assume how I would be with a dress? If I found a dress today that I fell in love with, it wouldn't make a blind bit of difference that there would be other, newer ones out there over the next two years. I can't help but feel as though she wanted me out of the shop, and was doing nothing to try and bring on board my custom. There's so many wedding shops out there and it's such a big business. Maybe she's narrow minded enough to believe that she works at the only wedding dress shop in Leeds and can turn away customers she maybe doesn't feel fits her personal criteria. Whatever the reason, I couldn't believe the reaction and service I received. It was appalling. Planning a wedding is hard enough, and it doesn't need to made harder by people who are in a business to help plan the big day.
I've been in a few wedding shops in Leeds and I have to say Berketex is the best wedding shop. When I went in I was worried about being looked down at because I'm 21 and people would think she's young and cant afford but no they were very friendly and talkative they made you feel like you have known them all your life. I couldn't ask for a better service and the dresses are beautiful and they have a wonderful collection for everyone style.
My wife bought a dress from the Leeds shop, which failed during our wedding. The dress collapsed at one side basically making her worst nightmare come true with everything up top almost falling out in front of our families. To make matters worse i raised a complaint immediately after returning from honeymoon, which the shop said there was nothing they could do so we were referred to Head Office. That was in July 2013 and am yet to receive a satisfactory response over a year later. This company spent 9 months saying my wife and mother in law can't have put the dress on correctly only to retract that statement when i proved they were incorrect, even their own dress fitter said the dress was not fit for purpose. They take my calls and say they are looking into but never get back to me. I am now looking into taking them to court as they have basically washed their hands of me and ignore my communications as they have my money and obviously do not care.. Avoid this company at all costs as they do nothing but pass the buck and then ignore you. When we returned to the shop for the assistants to put my wife back in the dress to see the problem they were argumentative and said it wasn't their fault. My wife went to that shop to get a wedding dress, which failed so how can it not be their fault? Worst customer service in the history of customer service.
Managed to get a last minute appointment for my niece today and from beginning to end we had a great experience. We also had my baby nephew with us which we were worried about.. we had nothing to worry about we received a warm welcome from the moment we walked in. The ladies listened to our previous experiences and took note of everything my niece liked & disliked from what she had seen so far and also took her sister & my thoughts in to consideration as well which resulted in what we planned as a look around to purchasing the perfect dress. Great experience and a few giggles along the way. Thank you for a great afternoon
I got my wedding dress, 4 adult bridesmaid dresses and 4 flower girls dresses from Berketex Brides Leeds. All the staff are so friendly and made the experience so enjoyable. I would really recommend Berketex Brides Leeds.
They didn't let me take a photo of me wearing the dress, to show it to my mum who couldn't be there :' The excuse was that people could copy the design, but that's silly because photos of the dresses are online anyway, so anyone can copy the design. All I wanted was to show my mum a photo of me in the dress.
Went in with the bride to be on Saturday. I have to say the staff were lovely nothing was too much trouble. The bride to be enjoyed the experiance and this was her first wedding dress shopping experiance ... lovely that you
I recently visited Leeds for a girly day with mum and my bridesmaids, after being to appointments and not having the best service we went to Berketex feeling a bit deflated, We didn't have an appointment but as soon as we walked through the door we were greeted with big smiles from the lovely ladies, they said to have a look around and ask any questions which I felt helped me as was still not sure what I wanted, I was soon enjoying myself trying on some beautiful gowns and didn't feel at all rushed, I HAVE found my dream dress here and couldn't recommend this shop more, my mum even had her eye on a dress in the bridesmaid section I really have to thank the ladies for making it so special for me the girls and mum : really grateful you could fit us in and can't wait to visit again!!!!
