Berkeley really helped us through a difficult time with finding the right care for mum. They are always helpful and the carer is amazing! She has really helped mum to thrive upon leaving hospital and I cannot thank them all enough!!

When  I contacted Berkeley Home Care I asked for a carer who spoke clear English and could drive. I was assured these criteria could be met. The first carer's spoken English was poor, my 95 year old mother could not understand her. She had only driven in England one day and said she wasn't a confident driver..
The company did provide taxis. 
They replaced her, while I was on holiday. As I was out of the country I asked that a manager to sit with the new carer while she drove and to show her how to secure the wheelchair in the car. The manager did not have time to sit with the carer while she drove. She was told not to drive until I was home in 5 days time. She did drive the car before I was home and before I had been sent a copy of her driving licence. 
When I rang my mother and when a friend visited the second carer was never in the room with my mother. Unfortunately by then my mother was unwell and had to go into a nursing home. She has not been able to return home.
