Wonderful butchers! Very friendly and helpful staff. Everything I have bought from there has been very tasty and I will never buy meat from a supermarket again. I particularly love their homemade chicken pies, Yorkshire smoked back bacon and stuffed breast of lamb. I bought their homemade 'beef spread' yesterday to try for a change and it was delicious! Highly recommended.
We visit from Bristol quite often because we have family in Alford. We always make sure to do our best to get to Bennett’s Butchers because I really don’t see a comparable butcher in the area. Our last visit was for some stewing steak, homemade pies, sausages and sausage rolls. We really try not to eat the sausage rolls on our way home but it’s so difficult! After moving away from the area in 1993 it’s really great to see a business like this still taking the time to maintain a great product line with pride. It’s appreciated!
My wife brought some Hazlett from here which I've hated for 50yrs since my mum used to make me sandwiches with it... A taste sensation! Also brought faggots sold by the slice... FAR better than the leading make!!!! Going back next time we're there for the ham and parsley slice!! Also lovely staff to match!
Absolutely brilliant service from really nice people where nothing is too much trouble. A great selection and range of food and all reasonably priced. My partner is sheltering, and everything was ordered and paid for over the phone and they delivered and loaded the goods into the boot of my car. This will now be my regular butcher. Thank you so much.

Very friendly, allowed me to take my time and pick what I wanted as it was my first visit. The rump steak was superb. Also do home made pies and sausage rolls which are lovely too. Like an old fashioned proper butchers shop, no gimmicks just good quality produce at a fair price.
Great little butchers. Good quality meat but a bit pricey.

Unfriendly, Barnsley chops were tough and full of bone splinters.Never again. You need some customer service skills as well.No they we're from you on Friday lunchtime.
