Good links to City, Tilbury,& Shoeburyness. Station is few minutes walk to local Viking Heritage sites and historic Church overlooking its 3neighbouring pubs. All offering a good choice of ales & food in local heritage sites set in fine all year outdoor & indoor surroundings

Staff at Benfleet Station just refused to help my son up to the platform, claiming that they are not allowed to do so 'even if he's a cripple'. Access to the platforms at Benfleet is not easy for someone with mobility issues and this really needs to be addressed - particularly as this is such a well used station. Also at least one member of the staff there requires some training in how to deal with disabled passengers - to be calling someone a cripple is just not acceptable. I will be writing to both C2C and the station but it would be good if others could do the same!

Quiet and clean station and friendly staff. Enough car parking space. It has very clean washroom facilities. There is Vending machine for snacks on both platform.

The town itself isn't bad although the heart of it is some distance from the station. The station area is a transit hub for mainline rail (C2C) and First (Essex) buses.
