Ben Nevis Pub

Came to this bar on my first night in Fort William. Great food and drinks The staff worked very hard The staff are very friendly and efficient I enjoyed the food here so much we came back the following night I had the steak pie and chips It was beautiful and tasty followed by cheesecake The bar is very clean The toilet was clean and quite impressive for a bar. We were able to have a drink at the end and not rushed like some places. 5 stars from me

So, some of the members of staff was not great at all, some of them was really nice - the reason we have left in the bill service charge, just for good ones. Food was not good at all; we’ve paid £57 for a lunch, and “steak” about £18 just for a pot with meat and chips was so bad! I didn’t even eat it. My partner loved his food. Starter was amazing!! In average 3 stars max. Not sure about the other places around, but I would go somewhere else.

The location is a separated in a bar and a restaurant. We first stayed at the restaurant and enjoyed some starters which were good. The main courses were mixed in quality: The mussels were delicious, especially the sauce. However it is claimed to be served with “crispy bread”, but we got a sad soft bun. I would recommend ordering the garlic bread extra. My soup of the day tasted okay but the presentation was rather pathetic see picture. We later switched to the bar because the drinks were good and the staff was very nice - especially the guy at the bar! We stayed here all evening. In conclusion: food ranges from meh to excellent. Bar is definitely recommended.

Excellent food and service. It’s busy in town tonight and I wasn’t sure where I’d find food, but they were very efficient in here. The lovely lady Fiona front of house was taking names, calling people from the bar as soon as tables were available, and they were serving to the bar as well if tables came free there sooner. A great system and I had my food in record time - a lovely gourmet burger followed by ice cream sundae. The other staff were really helpful and friendly too, particular James.

Good pub food! We had the stew, fish and chips and macaroni cheese for children. Staff were quick to take our order and food arrived within a few minutes. I am only giving 4 * because I don’t like the idea of the additional surcharge to the bill as tips. I think tips should optional.

Oh went to this pub in the off season and it did not disappoint. The food was absolutely stellar, I'm a traveling chef, it did not need salt or anything else. Got Shepards pie and onion rings, the batter for the onion rings was class and so crunchy. Wish I had got the lads name that had served us, he was amazing and the pub was quite busy with him solo. Was there Tuesday November 8th 12pm.

Really tasty food and quick staff. Atmosphere is cozy and warm, and the toilets are sparkling clean. Lots of vegan options which was very welcome. We were eating in a short period of time during a tour and the waitstaff were understanding and brought us the bill quickly.

This is a Very Welcoming and Accomodating place . The views were Lovely. The food looked and tasted Amazing. Presentation, taste and service second to none. Alan and the rest of the team did a Great job. See you all again soon

Perfect location, beautiful interior very helpful and friendly staff. The food was good but a little overpriced. I loved the balcony and the division between the bar and the restaurant. I had fish chowder and seafood platter see photos

If you're lucky you'll have a nice view over the lake but you might wait a long time to be seated 1h15 for us.... Food is good, especially the sweet potatoes fries, but disappointement can be just around the corner the deserts were a bit disappointing but as we're French, are we biased?
