Lovely food as expected as it was just first time here after being recommended by lots of friends. Lovely staff and very quaint inside. Not a huge choice on the menu but nice food nevertheless. Reasonably priced and will come back to try the Sunday lunch menu.
This is a great pub restaurant in the lovely village of Purton Stoke. We visit quite regularly, usually for lunch during the week. The pub changed hands a year or two ago and whilst it was good before, it's even better now. It's recently completed a big kitchen extension which has created a super new kitchen. The food is always excellent, the atmosphere is pleasantly village pub'ish and the hosts and service staff are very welcoming. For dinner and at weekends I'd definitely book, but during the week, lunch may be possible without a booking. Definitely worth a visit.
I took a party of six to the Bell recently, for a lunch. 2 children, 4 adults. The parking and location are great for me, as its only slightly out into the country, and there is a lot of parking space. The pub itself is a great example of a traditional country pub, with fittings and fireplace you'd expect. I'm 6"4 so I had to duck in a few places, but that's all part of the charm. The menu is extensive, and there is a dedicated kids menu too, with a wide selection of options. The food itself is fantastic, with a great range of options across meat, fish and vegetarian. Across all the meals everyone was extremely happy. The food is a great balance of flavor and subtlety, nothing is overpowering, but all the flavors come through together. Staff were super friendly, and welcoming, and I couldn't fault the experience.

Was treated by my daughter, the food is fantastic, plenty of choice, staff very welcoming, and service excellent. I had chicken liver pate, followed by sea bass on slightly sweet chilli vegetables absolutely delicious . My daughter had garlic mushrooms, followed by Pork, plenty of vegetables as well.
Came here for a friend's birthday meal and really loved the food. I ordered the tenderloin pork and it was flavoursome, rich and plenty of sauce. Came with cheese dumplings which are also a starter, very indulgent!

Went here tonight with my two daughters. We all have allergies. They couldn't do enough for us. Really friendly and helpful. Food is all cooked to order so they could accommodate our needs. Lovely atmosphere. Generous portions and delicious food. Clean loos too! I highly recommend. We shall be going back there.
We had a work function here for around 35-40 people. Some with certain dietary requirements. The staff were amazing and very accommodating!! The food was delicious and piping hot and came out so that nobody was waiting around too long for their meals. We were well looked after!
Excellent selection of food on their menu. Very good selection for vegetarians too. Spotlessly clean. Staff very helpful and friendly. Very good value for money. Will definitely be returning soon.
