BEWARE. Parcel have disappeared customer claimed it hasn't arrived. Also post office workers charge you different prices than placed on royal mail website. For 2nd class delivery I got charged price like for 1st class delivery. Check your money when visiting. Will make claim for missing parcel.
Bless the staff, they try their hardest and are very helpful and friendly and I’d give them all 5*, but it has to said that this post office is completely mismanaged and understaffed. There are six counters and I’ve never seen more than two being operated at any one time, even during high peak times. There are also three self service machines, but one of these is usually out of service. The two that do "work" need constant staff intervention. It’s not rare to find the queue stretching the length of the WH Smith store, probably as a ruse to get you to purchase their overpriced junk. So thanks, privatisation, you’ve worked your magic yet again!
So much for the renew driving licence service. Told " machine " is still out of order ! No change there then.
Went in today. Queued up for 10mins only to get to the counter and be told the driving license photo machine had been out of order for a few days. No signs to indicate this and thus avoid people queueing unnecessarily. Poor !!
The young man we dealt with to renew driving license was very efficient and helpful! My parents also used this branch for passports and had excellent service.
I have used this place for a few years now since it’s moved from its original location. And it’s a good place to drop in. But there a few issues with this place. The queues are a little inconvenient, but they always have been. There’s always some marketing people WHSmiths allows to stand directly in the entrance to pester you when you go in, come out, or walk by. And the staff will rip you off on Mail going long distance, unless you know before hand how much you should be paying for a cheaper service. Other than that, it’s a convenient place to post your mail.
Lack of staff every visit. Long lines. VERY RUDE older man there serving to. worst customer service have EVER had. During covid also.. no one in, 3 staff sat chatting, said if i have 5 parcels need to use self service! what??! you are sat doing nout! 1 start is to good for this branch. use other branch where possible advised.
Really horrible customer service got served by a lady who had the most horrible attitude!! Wasnt helpful and very rude!! Perfered the old post office better instead of moving to whsmith!!
One staff on counter serving. 2on for doing stamps for letters parcels. Waited 30mins the post office service is rubbish
Poor service, shoddy staff and services that dont work. Twice now ive been to renew my driving licence twice to he told machines not working so will have to come back at a later date. No apology for the inconvenience from staff was very matter of factly bordering on rude. Staff need decent customer service training
