Our police. They are great. But their budget is being cut to the bone. They need more money to put more feet on the beat. This tory austerity is the cause. Theresa May and David Davies just want to talk brexit whilst they screw us even more with cut after cut. Face it, if you did not vote Corbyn then YOU voted for this. And next time somebody says we have no money and must pay the banks ask them this... how exactly did you and i cause the defecit? I know it was not my fault and i am betting it was not yours. Unless you are a complete banker!

I'm disgusted by how not one officer or staff member can even simply answer the phone in the custody suite!! I have been attempting to get through for 4hours and am sitting here worried with no answer!! it's just ringing and ringing.. Terrible.

If this is the 'new' face of public friendly policing.... it is not working. You call the number and go through a standard process of selecting specific numbers for various options. I on this occasion selected the custody suite. One perhaps that given the nature of the location it may have somebody manning the desk? The phone rang for about 10 minutes during which time a computerised voice told me they were still trying to connect me. Eventually got fed up and hung up. Perhaps there was a major riot going on in the custody suite which required every single police officer? Or maybe they are under staffed. Who knows. Whatever it is - the service is abysmal. I suspect the Chief Constable is being told by other staff that the system is working well and is therefore unaware that the system is failing miserably. If she knew the real truth, I am sure she will have addressed the issue.
