Highly recommend this place - finding bed bugs is obviously extremely stressful but this company were absolute lifesavers. Terry answered our initial phone call and was incredible - he was calm and patiently answered all of our questions even before we had decided to pay for their service. He seems to genuinely care and was extremely knowledgeable. We decided to go with the company based on this and had Sarah come out to do her initial inspection. As others have said, she is very thorough and reassuring. We needed to have two treatments for our bedroom but the second treatment was discounted which we appreciated. You will receive a very thorough folder with tonnes of useful information created by the owner David. He is clearly an expert in the area which explains why the treatment was so successful. Thanks to the whole team!
TL'DR. They're Self-deluded, Egotistical Narcs. You can do a LOT better. Excellent first impression. Called me back to give me their undivided attention. All downhill from there. I found them to be more condescending and easily triggered each subsequent call. No sympathy for my emergency. Guilt-tripped me for trying 5-star Amazon remedies, and for contacting higher google ranked competitors first. Claimed to be the only living experts, and that all treatments and competitors including all of North America fail because 'they're all are wrong and uneducated'. I asked them to explain their controversial marketing hype, just as ASA and Trading Standards encouraged me to do so. They got offended, gaslit me for asking, called me 'too energy draining', then denied their services to me. David's exact words: “I'm going to stop you right there, you obviously don't trust us, don't use us [cuts call]”. Until now, I was none-the-wiser, manipulated to feel at fault for everything. So I called to apologise and appeal. But you only get one chance with these nutcases. So because I didn't blindly trust their absurd claims, they banned me for life. At this point I could have hung up, but I wanted to see if they had even a single shred of decency or remorse in them. I expressed my desperation: “fine, then what would you do if the only bedbug experts in the world won't help you?”. David had the audacity to respond: 'I know how you feel… there is ONLY one other specialist, in Italy, but even he will not help you after I speak with him'. Surprisingly, he tried to explain himself and earn back my empathy by telling me he'd been stalked and sued before. He really had no idea that the more he spoke, the more egotistical and deluded he appeared. During my emergency, I called about 40 competitors. Most welcomed me, some answered with sensible logic, some even encouraged me for asking. At least 3 respectable competitors said that nobody respects David Cain, as his ego and delusions tarnish the brand. I concur. A very confused David decided to accuse me of not really wanting to do business, but also accused me of planning to bribe him in to do business in future. I know 2 definitions of the word Narc; narcissist and drug police. David is clearly the former, but he's deluded himself that he's also the latter. After bed-bugs Ltd got out of my way, I found better fumigators. Initially, one liquidated after the first treatment, so the bugs multiplied again over Xmas. 3 months later, I finally found my go-to fumigator. He spent the first hour de-indoctrinating me from David's delusions. Second hour, happily listing and tailoring his extensive treatment choices to my special needs. He solved my crisis in 2 visits, 30 days apart. Bugs never returned. Clearly, David and his Italian lackey aren't the only living bedbug experts. But like other cult leaders, they are experts in fearmongering, disempowering benevolent people until they feel unimportant, gaslit to the point they second-guess their own innocence and good nature. BTW, I tried their patented bed bug monitor device. Competitors explained that the only reason it could work is because bedbugs are drawn to the smell of the ordinary cardboard it contains. The detection isn't even confirmed until you buy their upsell 'return to diagnose at lab' service. Maybe if these chaps were sensible and trustworthy, this service might be slightly useful. But after all of their hype and break-up drama, I asked David if he would at least 'let me' buy their bug monitors. He said, “sure, but we won't answer any of your support questions”. Oh…so that's why he thought I'll need to bribe him. I dislike negative reviews, especially when it's a one-off stain about a trivial misunderstanding on an otherwise well reviewed biz. But this one was well-earned. No idea why they have any good reviews. Even if leadership changed, their brand is already tarnished. So IMO, with nothing worthy to sell or discuss, the sooner they're off google, the better.
When I woke up covered in mysterious bites night after night, I was convinced I had bed bugs. I was very stressed, itchy and ashamed. Bed Bugs Ltd's website was very helpful in separating the facts from the fiction and understanding how bed bugs actually work. They dispatched me a monitor kit PACKED with information very quickly. There was a lot to learn and take in but the website and booklets were less overwhelming than trying to understand the contradictory information I was getting from other places. It was also reassuring to be given a very thorough explanation of bed bugs and what to do rather than a breezy overview. I am glad they told me not to hire a contract cleaner as I would have thrown money away on that. I sent some suspected bedbugs in for the identification service and was relieved to be told that they were not in fact insects at all. This put my mind at ease. Terry then followed up with advice as to what else might be causing the bites and how to deal with it - despite it being a bed bug-specific company. The diatomaceous earth they sent me also kills pretty much all other insects, so I have not wasted my money. Following his advice on spring-cleaning the room thoroughly seems to have solved the issue. Terry was also very helpful when I encountered non-insect issues like my card payment not working. Even though I ended up not actually having a bed bug problem, these guys were great at helping me to keep calm in a difficult time and making me feel equipped to handle the problem.
We first had Sarah into our home over a year ago when we discovered the Bed Bugs in our home She stayed late into the evening inspecting every inch of my home and alleviating my concerns and stress. Had heard horror stories from friends about bed bugs that never really leave. An acquaintance told me she'd been fighting them for years. So I was skeptical about the procedure and process. But she was right and within days I was no longer being bitten and at the end of two weeks it was clear completely. We had Jozz come and clean our house, to ensure that the infestation was gone, but also to alleviate my fears. I spoke with Terry on the phone consistently through the process and he was a calming and professional presence. We have unfortunately since had a reinfestation. Again from my first moments Terry and Sarah we're supportive and quick to get things sorted. In particular Terry and Alex the cleaner went out of their way to accommodate my schedule and ensure I got the best service possible. They did all of this during a pandemic whilst maintaining social distancing and navigating risk to myself and themselves. There are not many people who would go as far as they did and I am so grateful. I'm also sleeping freely in a house that is empty of bed bugs, because their method of the best. I cannot recommend them enough
What a revelation! I have had many infestations of what I assumed were bed bugs and when me and my lodger started getting “bites” I assumed it was bed bugs again. Sarah came over and did the inspection extremely thoroughly. I have used various pest control companies before and many of them didn’t even do inspections before doing treatment for bed bugs - they just take the money. Sarah didn’t find any evidence of bed bugs and instead thought it to be carpet beetle larvae skins is causing skin reactions. Sarah explained the psychology behind bed bugs and how mass hysteria and anxiety can exacerbate skin reactions and how people often assume they have bed bugs but it can be many other things. She explained all the misinformation behind bed bugs and I was left empowered and educated. This is a rare ethical company who debunk all the myths behind bed bugs and won’t rip you off and treat you for bed bugs when you don’t have them like all the other pest control companies. It turns out I had bed bugs a long time ago but my most recent “attacks” were not bed bugs. This has been life changing. Thank you Bed Bugs Ltd. Hats off!
Bed Bugs Limited were GREAT in dealing with the bed bugs problem in our house. The initial visit that lasted about 1.5 hours was very thorough and Sarah the technician was able to locate some faeces in one room and also an adult bed bug in another room. Sarah explained the GOOD techniques that have been developed by David and the team at Bed Bugs Limited to eliminate any infestation in properties. Since I had wrapped and thrown away my initial mattress in the room where I was being bitten Sarah had explained that I need to purchase a new mattress since part of the treatment and monitor process requires that there is a host present to check presence of further bed bugs. Following purchase of that mattress Sarah was able to visit our home again to carry-out the steam-clean and install passive monitors in each of the bedrooms which took around 2.5 hours. Sarah was excellent in providing details of the post-clean steps which ranges from Day 1 to Day 18. I believe the care shown by Sarah during her visit was excellent and the level of knowledge was GREAT A+*
Had Sarah from Bed Bugs Limited round today... Never have I dealt with a more professional and proficient company in my life. From the initial call they were on it. The adivce over the phone was my reason for using them above any of the other coimpany I contacted. They were extremely helpfull and filled me with confidence. Even after the treatment they left some detectors, I honestly believe wherether you have bed bugs or not every house in the UK should have detecors!!!!. Until you have bed bugs you have no idea what a real problem they are, and they ARE !!! If you get a case of these horrible bugs dont bother with any other company, use only Bed Bugs Limited ... Got due to bed bugs. Very professional and honest firm. No bull that it will be 100% gone, which I prefer honesty to a lie to make me feel better. But gave me do's and don'ts to do to help me get there. Sarah, not Sally as I kept calling her was lovely, very professional and explained a lot and corrrected all my suppose knowledge I got from google. 1st of all DO NOT USE ANY PRODUCT ADVERTISED. Especially smoke bombs, they cause more problems and TBH more work for you before they arrive, as needed to prepare for the real treatment which smoke bomb residue will hamper. And may make getting rid that much harder as spreads them all over the property. Hopefully I'm going to be bed bug free soon thanks to this company.
A completely thorough service, totally professional, no suggestion to have treatment which wasn't needed - just clarity and reassurance. Informative, calming and effective - crucial as this is a topic that brings such panic. The check was very thorough, and having found no signs I've been left with peace of mind and the ability to monitor to ensure that continues into the future. I was worried about a series of bites shortly after a period of much travel for me and airbnb rentals in my property. An internet search suggested that Bed Bugs Ltd was the best stop, and I'm so glad I found it. Super reassuring and helpful on the phone, an appointment the next day, and the technician who attended Sarah was wonderful. She did an incredibly thorough check, debunked various myths, gave me loads of information and completely reassured me. No signs found, no treatment needed wonderful to have that stated clearly - I suspect some organisations might try to sell just in case / preventative measures, these guys are completely professional and obviously only forthright and honest. I now have monitors to check that continues for the next 14 days part of the assessment service and I've bought further monitors for ongoing reassurance after that period. These guys are clearly experts - far more so than any pest control generalist could ever be - helpful, kind and fair. It seems the owner / manager is an expert and has passed that on to the team. Zero professionalism, Rude agents and as for their treatment, they dont work. its quite sad to say but their agents are very rude and unprofessional and also have no customer service training. You pay a huge sum for treatment and they give you over 20 pages of guidelines to follow, after the treatment is done, if you experience any more bed bug and complain they will say its because you have missed out one point out of the 20 pages of guideline you have been given, therefore they can not help. There are better bed bugs companies out there that offer less for better quality and are genuinely ready to come back if the problem persist. And also their customer service desk is just one person taking all the calls,so if you decide to call to make a complain, he might decide to not tender your complain if he is not satisfied and not even pick up your number anymore and you have to be sending email to the company and guess what, its the same person taking the calls. A word is enough for the wise.
