Ordered for delivery last night, to my boat mooring. They were happy to do that, so that was the first tick. Hadn't eaten all day, and was really hungry. That just leads to ordering more than can be eaten!! That said, what I could manage was pretty good. The fries were still partially crispy, despite coming in one of those horrible polystyrene boxes, that seems to have been designed only to make fries soggy. The 4 BBQ ribs were tasty, and the fried chicken was good too. Meat sliding nicely off the bone and a good crispy skin. Really, I had nothing at all to complain about. The only reason for 4 stars, instead of 5, is only really because the food itself isn't the healthiest of choices, and a little cheaper would be good. But, that is being a bit picky, I admit.
I would give zero stars if I could. I paid £12 for a large donner meat and cheesy chips. What I got was 4 strips of dry, tastless donner meat, and chips that were so over fried, they were inedible. Threw it straight in the bin. An absolute rip off. There are so many better places in Beccles, that serve better take out food than this place. Avoid.
Food turned up cold. It had been sitting in the packaging for so long sweating like Jimmy Savile in a playground, the packaging was as soggy as a 3 day old Tena lady. The only thing that did turn up warm was the can of coke!!
Had few bits delivered. All dishes were delicious and hot when arrived. Can recommend and will use again.Food: 5/5
Nice food but Staff aren't helpful at all, they have no idea about the ingredients in the food they serve when asked about allergies. All staff need allergy training and they should know what's in the food they sell!! On two occasions, one member of staff moaned about so many customers ordering food at 5pm!! He was not happy that everyone ordered at the same time and ranted down the phone at me about it! Have not been back!
2.5hr wait after ordered. Was told at 1hr 30 the food was out for delivery. Then once it arrived both containers were practically only half full. Absolute joke.
Not good, waited ages never had scampi that dark inedible,promised free drink cos waited so long that didn't happen no way will order again
I placed my order at 5.45 told it'd be with us in an hour. Just over hour I phoned them to be told it was on its way and would be within 15mins...food finally arrived at 8.15. Food wasn't hot,one meal didn't have all I asked for and had greaseproof paper stuck to food,and amount of grease running out of takeaway container was disgusting. The kebab we had was cold and the chicken was covered in this gritty stuff which was uneatable. The driver let it slip that food hadn't even been done when I phoned the first time to be told 15mins. I will not be returning or recommending
Absolutely awful service and food! We have used them a few times in the past and it's been just ok. Tonight my son wanted a pizza as a treat so ordered food for all of us, £40 worth. Over an hour after ordering our food still wasn't here so phoned them, they said it was on the way. Half hour later phoned them again, same story, its on its way. 2 and a half hours after our original order, 9 phone calls it finally turned up. Everything was cold! Phoned up, this time we got the manager who basically swore at my missus and hung up! What a man. We shall see if he talks to me the same way face to face. I've now phoned the bank and cancelled the money. Don't use them or trust them.
APPALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE! We have used Beccles Kebab for years and have generally been pleased. However, we placed an order recently at 18.30 via their website costing £65. At 20.00 we phoned to chase up our order. Our inquiry was met with very rude responses and they said that they were so busy, the order has left. At 20.30 we phoned again as still no delivery. This time we explained that our children were getting upset as they were hungry! The manager told me to cook something for them!!!! I was very calm and asked for his help, we wouldn't have minded a late delivery but would have been helpful to receive a courtesy call. Throughout the process of trying to locate our order, we phoned three times, all of which I had to phone back as they hung up on me!!! Eventually the order arrived at 21.05. That's just over 2 1/2 hours wait time. Not good enough : They have now lost any future business from us.
