Beatons is one of the best little tea rooms in the area, with opulent surrounds and very friendly staff. Food choice isn't extensive - think bagels, scones and cakes- but very tasty and with a mix of flavours that is hard to beat. When it comes to tea and coffee, on the other hand, they choice is huge: I'm a coffee person and I have to say, their Colombian roast is one of the best around. I take my little toddler there every once in a while, and everyone is very friendly and kind - though the environment is more quiet and subdued than many tea rooms so if your child has a tendency to run riot, maybe not the place for you. Great coffee and tea, freshly made baked goods and a friendly calm atmosphere. Perfect for a little break.

Very clean. Manager and staff exceptionally informative and helpful. The stew was lovely but could do with bigger portions. On the whole really made me smile with the helpfulness and smiling nature demonstrated.

The service here is amazing! Great advice and recommendations on the different teas. Really enjoyed lunch here, would defintely recommend.

Went for an afternoon tea with wife and mother's, lovely atmosphere, relaxed, upmarket and friendly. Food and drink was excellent.
