We are a Small Animal Veterinary Surgery in Bearsted, Maidstone, Kent. We are part of the Medivet group.

Story

Bearsted Veterinary Surgery has been providing domestic animal care for over 20 years to the people of Bearsted, Maidstone and the surrounding villages and communities. Our aim is to provide a high standard first opinion practice and excellent customer service, for the animals in our community, and maintaining good value for money at a fair profit margin.
Also, to invest in a continual program of staff development, new equipment and comfortable well maintained premises.
Creation of a team that is knowledgeable, caring, friendly and efficient, that is prepared to learn new skills, expand their capabilities, take on new challenges and is forward thinking.

We bought our little chihuahua here to be neutered and the staff were fantastic. They were honest about how much everything was going to cost so I didn’t have any surprises. My daughters who are little came with me to collect our dog afterwards and they made us all feel very welcome.

I popped in unannounced and sought treatment for my dog. Staff were friendly and extremely caring and treated my dog immediately. I couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you so much

Great experience. I bought my Anatolian here for a check up last Saturday and the staff were fantastic, very calm and friendly. We didn't feel rushed and the Vet by far was the most understanding and cooperative I have come across in recent months.

Registered with Dartford Practice but have moved to Rochester. Called Bearsted to transfer care and get my dog seen. Leanne, head nurse could not have been more put out by my request, big sighs and tuts. When I asked if this was too much trouble for her I was told in no uncertain terms that they cannot accept transfers from other Medivet surgeries and that I'd have to drive to Dartford. Just unfortunate there's a 2 hr delay as the bridge is closed today. Meanwhile my dog is in pain with a really nasty aural haematoma.

I wouldn't trust anyone else with the health of our family pets. They are always professional, caring and friendly.

Our beautiful darling Border Terrier "Daphne" sadly passed away at home following a visit from MediVet. We as a family really did not want to put Daphne in the car for Journey, so we decided on a Home Visit. It's very hard to put into words how much we thank Daniela and Megan, who made the whole situation so respectful and peaceful. This veterinary practice and it's staff  really do care about the animals they look after  and also are very understanding with owners who are very upset when something sad like this happens. The small details such as the love heart on her prescription bag, sending a condolence card as well as a the Forget-me-not seeds. Thank you very much Megan and Daniela with much love. The worst service you can possibly get from a vet. The staff are rude and don’t care about your pets. When you question them they pretend you are speaking rudely to them to try and take the high ground. My pet has now been left in pain and without treatment because what they are unable to provide a vet to prescribe antibiotics. I was told I would need a simple return visit to pick up antibiotics, no need for second appointment, no need for pet to come in just a quick trip. When I informed them the problem had not cleared I rang and requested to pick up antibiotics, the informed me this could not be done until Saturday morning 6days later on Saturday morning I called and they said no one had left any notes on their system about this and they were too busy and could not help. When I said their service was poor and My pet and I should not be held accountable for their failure to leave notes the lady on the phone accused me of being rude and swearing and hung up the phone. Obviously playing to an audience in the surgery but a false accusation. I will be reporting this to their head office. It’s no wonder they are shutting down branches across the country. Avoid like the plague. I will now have to take my dog to an emergency center to get the treatment they needed a week ago

Excellent clinicians. Unfortunately we were repeatedly given wrong information regarding the services provided, and made us go all the way to Sheppey to get a Rabies vaccination for our cat, when that was unnecessary.
