Awful/ Outstanding amount of lack of customer care I am a firm believer in shopping local, but no way on earth would I use them for anything again, and I will inform my friends to do the same. In a nut shell they do not want to take any responsibility for the cowboys they employ to fit and install washing machines. It was never fitted correctly from day one and 5 days later were informed of such. They tried to call the manufacture out but it was nothing to do with the washing machine, it was how they installed it was the issue. I explained to the manufacture engineer the cause and he replied that is nothing to do with us ( I replied I Know ) and he cancelled the call out ., They would not even make the time to come and have a look at the issue without being paid a call out fee to have a look at their own mistakes. After 6 weeks of me sending in photographs/dimensions and explain via email how it does not fit correctly , they came out to the repair . The two (knowledgably men this time) said that yes it was never fitted right and this is the 6th one they have been back to fix for the same thing. Enough said

Great service from the Kingsbridge branch. Washing machine delivered within 2 days (could have been next day), only £15 all in for removal and fitting.

Washing machine broke down after just 5 weeks. As soon as I told the branch manager in Kingsbridge he became rude, no empathy in our problem, made us feel like the problem. I then mentioned as its broken down in just 5 weeks, is it possible to exchange, I then found his tone very aggressive. He said no, have to wait for an engineer to repair it. This was backed up by the manager of Plymouth. Look up your consumer rights before you deal with Beacon, especially if something goes wrong. The Which website has some good guidance. If they bully you into a repair you can't change your mind and have a replacement, even if they misguide you on your rights. I checked with the Citizans Advice and they confirmed we have the right to exchange for the store in the first 6 months. The manager of Plymouth stated they didn't know the law?! That's what they do, advise on Consumer Rights. I called Hotpoint and they agreed to replace it (Beacon didn't). I wrote a review on here, the manager called and asked me to take it off, so I agreed, but then he wrote the nonesense below so here's what happened posted back. I advocate shopping locally, but wish I hadn't in this case. I won't trust them ever again, I will go to AO as they actually publish consumer rights on their website, and they aren't rude to customers who have appliances break down. Such a shame, was a great friendly business before it was taken over.
