I really enjoy it there. It's spacious, there's parking, different types of food, snacks, drinks at reasonable prices. Staff are helpful... I go on my own and with friends. Sometimes you get freebies...ie chocolates on Valentines day. Has an outside garden and an area where you can talk while playing.
It sounds like you had quite an experience at the BET event! It can be disappointing when food doesn't meet expectations, especially when it's overpriced. It seems like the atmosphere was a mix of nostalgia and frustration, especially with the caller's style reminding you of Blackpool. Hopefully, the overall event had some redeeming qualities, and you were able to enjoy some aspects of it despite the food and calling. What did you think of the performances on stage?
After travelling a while to get here. We found the staff extremely rude. One older man at the desk was absolutely appalling to a little old lady. And the price of the bingo pads were shocking. Yea the prize money was good. But who would pay £700 to play a game of bingo. The lady at the food counter didn’t speak and barely understood English. It was quite shocking. Still a nice night apart from. These issues. And you’d think they would spritz the place up. Toilets were disgusting. And the decor awful. Northampton is much better.
Visited you last night all the way from Birmingham. I won one of your Facebook competitions for your big money prize events. Introduced myself at reception, No real problem getting my voucher to redeem at book sales as such. However this is where my visit went downhill. I presented my voucher to The woman “Gloria” and she point blanked dismissed the voucher and brushed me aside. Firstly for someone who works in hospitality sector this is no way to speak to a customer let alone member of public. I had to assert I was a competition winner to her so she had to summon a manager to speak to a manager in order to honour my voucher. Also I was playing alone due to my friends not being able to make it due to circumstances and could only have one set of tickets despite the original manager at front of desk confirming I can play / have twin set. The staff in the bar and food diner area were respectable but I feel this place does lack a rapport with the customer which is paramount in the hospitality climate at present. I would consider visit again but not in a hurry .
If you like Bingo, great place. Can even go on your own. Ladies toilets have an unplesant smell which needs with. Smells like the floor has been mopped in urine.
Travelling from Manchester to partake in their 'big prize money' Sunday night - I can say without reservation, this is the greatest bingo club I have ever been to. Did I win you may ask - no, I wish - but the warm welcome, the delicious fresh food, the helpful staff all add to what is already an exciting evening. With regular prize money in excess of £70,000 in a single night - it is simply thrilling to be in the hall. Management should be commended for their appetite to never settle for mediocrity - this hall has a bright future ahead and a wonderfully cultured audience. From Goat curry to German themed bars - it has it all! No I'm not a share holder - but I cannot stress this enough - if you're looking for an exciting bingo night, look no further!
My husband and I visited Merkur Bingo, we haven’t been for almost three years. The team was so friendly and helped us buyer the machines and the correct games. The kitchen team were also lovely, the food was delicious. We didn’t win, but we had so much fun.
Me and my boyfriend went to Beacon Bingo he wanted to play on roulette on the machines. The people at the reception are friendly however the staff on the main floor are not as helpful and can be quite rude. I didn't feel like I had a warm welcome one of the staff was rushing my boyfriend to cash his ticket and we weren't sure how "do it now, hurry up she said." This isn't how you speak to the general public I won't be visiting there again not even for a laugh.
Brilliant bingo club, with fantastic offers and great atmosphere! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and I had a brilliant time
