Great friendly place, rough and rugged, wonderfully unpretentious. Great views! Good range on the menu (if incredibly hard to read) but the actual dishes seemed rather limited which is why only 3 stars. A unique experience, well worth going if you enjoy fish.

Rude waitress. They don’t seem to cater to dietary requirements. The only vegan option was an £8 sliced avocado on toast. One of us was given the wrong order..... However, there are some excellent cafes nearby, I would highly recommend the Harbour house in Kingsbridge or the gastrobus at Bantham beach.

As locals we try & support restaurants out of season we always go to the Beach Hut for my wife's best friends birthday as we did tonight on arriving we did inform them our taxi would arrive at 10.30 they then informed us that as they were not busy they would be closing earlier than that although your closing is advertised as 11.00 pm not the best welcome we had an ok meal the restaurant had a few other tables taken we requested the bill after our taxi firm were contacted to collect us earlier at 10pm we had taken our own wine only to see we were charged £7.50 per bottle corkage we felt a little excessive good job we only had 3 bottles especially as out of season , we have to say we feel very disappointed & we won't be rushing back.

We had lunch there today and it was amazing ...even though it was busy all the staff were lovely and nothing was to much trouble ...thank you for a great experience. .I will be back xx

It looks like a shack but by golly the food is great and excellent service .
