We appointed BBE Law on the recommendation of our mortgage broker when we bought our first flat this year. We were really disappointed and found the whole experience very frustrating. The solicitor we had originally appointed went on maternity leave almost straight away - we were given no warning of this when we signed up. We were then passed around between 3 different solicitors and the one that ended up handling everything was a more junior level. Communication was very bad, emails went unanswered, and it was impossible to get through to anyone on the phone. A number of errors were made and picked up by us, however we have of way of knowing if anything has been done wrong that we are unaware of! As first time buyers we were hoping for a bit of help and reassurance throughout the process but this was totally absent. After the transaction was completed we had a number of queries but they were utterly unhelpful in pointing us in the right direction regarding anything that wasn't strictly under the remit of the job. A lot of paperwork was very scrappy and an a couple of occasions had to be sent back because it was inaccurate.
