Popped in recently and I love this place. Really relaxed atmosphere and the garden was great on a warm autumn day. Food was really good too. Thoroughly recommend, especially as its child and dog friendly too.

We visited here after going round the shops. Very disappointed. The staff need to a lot of training in customer service and manners. The price was totally over priced for what you had. Suggest going elsewhere to get a better pot of tea. Avoid at all costs.

Visited Bayards Kitchen for a light lunch on with family on Aug 16th . Very disappointed .Unfriendly ,young lady assistant ( clearly showed her displeasure when my son asked for a receipt ) I consider £9 for a sausage roll & small soft drink & £10 for an individual quiche ,quite excessive charge . Will not return & furthermore will tell all my friends too.

Crank's may have closed in 2017 but already their place has been taken by Bayard's Kitchen, Shinners Bridge, The Shops at Dartington, Dartington, TOTNES TQ9 6TQ Seating outside is improved with benches to tie your dogs when back from a walk along by the banks of the Bidwell Brook.
