Me and my husband have been coming to bay of bengal for many years now and have thoroughly enjoyed it. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is always welcoming and the service is always fabulous . Would highly recommend

Great food, friendly service and never feel rushed between courses. Definitely one of our favourite Indian restaurants to go to. Booking in advance not always necessary. A highly recommended place to visit and see for yourselves. It probably won't be your last as we have found. Not many local Indian restaurants to chose from, so this is a little gem.
Came to Tuesday Buffett night, fantastic selection of food. Nice and hot, tasty and great value for money. Served by lovely Ruben : had the mix fruit for a change. Was nicely surprised very tastyFood: 5/5
Been coming here for years and we have never had a bad meal… the food is outstanding and the service is superb… would highly recommend this restaurant… our favourite Indian by farFood: 5/5
Food was very very good. But it isnt fast as others have observed so dont go expecting fast food. I didnt do the hygiene inspection on this place but as an EHO I can tell you the condition of a premises loos tells you the likely state of kitchens. Id give this 4* with basic but clean ladies. However my colleague found the mens to be a 2* owing to an excess of bodily fluids and solids on the walls. The staff made only a cursory effort to clean up was very busy BUT thats not really an excuse. Close them till cleaned there was disabled available. The menu was possibly over extensive. Better to focus on fewer options maybe? Parking: Lots of easy level free parking Wheelchair accessibility: Level access thoughout and disabled loos etc
AVOID AT ALL COSTS.…. Don't be fooled by the Tuesday buffet, its a scam, you pay £15 and get a starter and a main course….. That's it, and also know if you order the lamb chops starter they take one of the lamb chops off the plate.… they also water down the yogurt sause, wow that's a desperate saving.…. They also charge you a whopping extra £4.50 for any prawn dish which is DAYLIGHT ROBBERY - and the prawn tikka massala was terrible dish, only got served with 6 or so small prawns with it.…. I wouldn't recommend it, its about £15.50 on the menu, there's other dishes on the Al a carte buffet menu for £14.50 so why rob an extra £4.50 off customers…… also note when I orded the prawn dish he did say there was a surcharge but when I asked twice how much it was he Play and simply ignored me….. I now know why, highlight of the mealsas the popadom until we put the tasteless watery yoghurt on it.…… THERES FAR BETTER CURRY HOUSE TO GO AT BELIEVE ME.…. Oh and the drinks are expensive
After eating half of my tandoori chicken I then realised it was raw…straight away I politely called one of the staff members over for him to pick up the plate and says “it’s because the chickens big” then I replied it should still be cooked..the man just stood there staring asking us what he wanted us to do I would not recommend anyone coming to this restaurant I am absolutely sickened to my stomach I’m counting down the days/hours for a potential illness that’s pending I’ve got a revolting feeling in my stomach wouldn’t recommend this to anyone
Everytime we've been here the food has been great, the service is quick and it's always a really pleasant, welcoming and calm atmosphere. Our last time was no exception and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the service the staff gave. The only reason I haven't given it 5 star is that the most recent time we went was on a Tuesday which all posters advise an 'a la carte buffet' which to us indicated and all you can eat. This wasn't the case and instead was a set price of so much for a starter, a sundri or rice and any main. I just think this could be re-advertised to avoid the confusion. Parking: Free on site car park
My sister, cousins and I were at the Bay of Bengal to have a celebratory meal for my sister's birthday. Our meals were very well cooked and served hot. We have been previously and never been disappointed. The service was excellent and staff were very friendly. Well done Bay of Bengal!Food: 5/5
