I don't come here often but when I do it's usually for the fat chips and cod. Noticed new management, get complimentary chilli sauce too watery , garlic dipnice . Very pricey. Noticed lot of orders coming through apps hence service has gone slow to serve customers that are already there . Taste wise I would give 3 but very deer . Think the place has potential if they did it up a bit and cleaned , noticed people here commented on old oil , which I think I could slightly taste it as prefer my food drenched with vinegar.

Asked if they actually had any pie's because they weren't displayed, he asked someone out the back to get one, it came out a minute later when I eat it it was freezing cold in the middle and left a watery not like gravy residue in the bottom of the tin, absolute fith, and the two sausage in batter I ordered, were the only thing displayed with a couple of savaloys, were also cold and not nice, I deliberately didn't order chips because from what I could see from the order before mine, they looked shocking, dry and had more black eyes in them than you'll ever imagine. Never again

Waited 25 min expect the Donner would be great cut and hot  well I found cold Donner too mixed with the hot, and when I had a word with the manager and he actually had to feel if the food was cold or not, I just said  not interested anymore and walked out,Food: 1/5

Got myself Skate & Chips and couple of wings, food isn’t bad at all, average pricing, although the wait was kinda long, man who served me was an absolute gent. The place isn’t so attractive from inside and out. Overall food isn’t bad at all, I’ll probably go again if pass by but I hope they refurb the shop and make it look better.

I have eaten before and it wasn't the best then but was good enough to eat.  Today I ordered cod, chips and fish cakes. The portion as usual was very generous and looked very nice too but it had a weird odour, maybe the oil hasn't been changed in a while. Out of the two fish cakes, one was completely off and filled with oil.  I won't be going back there, but if you do, make sure you check the food before they pack it in.

I took the cod fish and chips for 9£ Medium one. Oil is dripping from the fish and chips are not at all fried. They are thick and not cooked at all inside. It's almost unworthy. I never want to go to this place for food.

Worst Fish and chips ever! The chips stink of old oil and they were inedible. The pie looked like it’s been standing on the hot plate since 1920. The fish was greasy and limp. Do not order food from here. Worst place ever

Food was disappointing. The oil used to fry the fish tasted old and left a horrible after taste. The service wasn't bad but the atmosphere was not great. Won't be going back anytime soon.Food: 2/5

So I ordered food and unwrap the chips to find this bug crawling around..called and they refused to help. Honestly the worst customer service EVER. Don’t waste your time if you have any common sense. Oh forgot to add they tried bribing us into not giving them a bad review by offering us free food next time?!?

Ooookay. Good points: Food received fairly quickly. Presentation was decent came in a dedicated fish and chips box Large fish size was decent.  Improvement Taste was ooookay, it's fish and chips. Can't really go wrong. If you ever go, you have to specifically request Cod and Chips not just fish and chips, otherwise you get given Haddock and get charged the same price. Chips; you'd always expect fat chips, but always with some crunchy small ones. Disappointingly only a couple of crunchy ones. Price: a little more on the expensive side given this is a local chippy. £9.95 for a large fish and chips; but I would say the portion of chips received was at best, in comparison, a small portion.
