I applied for a job here and was invited to interview. On arriving I was asked to sit in the waiting area. Waited half an hour before being told the manager due to interview me wasn't in and that I should leave and they would get in touch to re-arrange. Nobody even contacted me to apologise let alone re-arrange the appointment . If that's how they treat potential staff who knows how they treat their emoloyees. Would never consider working here again , let alone booking a holiday.

###BEWARE OF CURRENCY BUY BACK DEAL### Returned from holiday and went back with the unused Euros I had purchased to find out this deal is just a way to make money off you. Instead of getting £240 for €255 unused Euros they gave me £194.08 I wouldn’t have minded if they made a little money, business is business, but if you look at the envelope they initially provided before I left you’d have to agree it’s misleading. I thought they were doing the decent thing when actually it’s just about ripping you off. Did the holidays booked over the years not make enough for them and they have to resort to penalising loyal customers. Pretty desperate. Sorry. My last holiday with Barrhead Travel.

ONLY A 1 STAR AS YOU CAN'T SELECT ZERO STARS! Booked a trip to New York for my parents and partner and specifically asked if I would be able to amend the ticket details nearer the time as I knew there was a chance that my partner might not be able to go. Therefore I wanted to change the name on the ticket if need be. I was told that I would be able to change the details but would need to pay an admin fee (which I didn't mind) and so I went ahead and booked through Barrhead Travel. Then, when I went to change the details prior to the trip I was told that I could not amend any of the details on the tickets after all. I was annoyed as this was the only specific request that I made and it turned out my partner could not travel so I lost just over £1000. The Managing Director of the Hamilton branch, Craig, was extremely rude, unhelpful and insinuated that because his staff had not noted my requests on the system that it was their word against mine and I was basically lying! I am not normally one to complain however I have never been treated as bad by a company in my entire life! I have since wrote to the company and a few months on I am still waiting on a response! This totally ruined a once in a lifetime trip for me and my family and as such I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy let alone friends or family!

Had issue booking online called and spoke to Natalie who promised a call back at a time that suited me and kept her promise. She called me back again as promised and even informed me that my landline wasn't working when she had attempted several times to get me on my mobile. I had a great chat and got everything sorted including transfers and all documents emailed over. Today I printed the docs off and called Barrhead Travel and spoke to Lindsey and wvery question I asked she helped and answered. Nothing was too much trouble. What great customer service. Keep up the good work and thanks for all your help.
