I recently had the pleasure of visiting Showcase Cinema and it was truly a fantastic experience. The venue was immaculate and the staff were lovely and provided excellent service. The highlight was undoubtedly the theatre experience, watching movies on the big screen while relaxing in comfortable reclining seats. The popcorn was also outstanding and added to the overall enjoyment of the visit. I highly recommend Showcase Cinema for anyone looking for a top-notch movie-going experience.
The venue is spacious and clean and has an absolutely massive car park. I feel the Showcase brand is looking a bit tired these days, the adverts don’t make a lot of sense “See the Website” with no website listed. The lights went on about 10 minutes before the end of the film which was weird. The biggest problem in my view is the selfishness of people coming to watch. I had a woman in front of me arrive with a full McDonald’s takeaway. The two lads sitting next to me were munching away at a giant bag of crisps and staring at their phone throughout the film. You would think that the cinema might be keen to restrict such activities but there were no staff visible. Not a great night at the movies.
Comfortable recliner seating. We were there with 3 primary-school-aged kids, so sat in the middle of the front row. The view of the screen was excellent, as was the sound. All of the staff that we dealt with were friendly and helpful. Food prices ice cream were reasonable, I suppose: 4 double scoop tubs for around £15. Plenty of flavours available.
Great difference since its makeover. I used to travel to hamilton for the reclining seat, so good news the showcase now have them. Nice bar area next to entrance for a coffee or other refreshments. Only negative is lack of lighting in car park
Prices for the sweets and snacks were the usual extortionate, but expected. The cinema itself was large and looked clean. The picture hall was very spacious and the reclining chairs are fantastic, just don't go if you're tired! All in all it was a good experience and I'll use this place again.
Really like this cinema, very clean and comfortable. Staff are helpful and friendly, good range of theatre and screen sizes.
Really comfy, large seats that recline and have plenty legroom. I like the cup holders - so you don't need to try feel about at the side of your seat in the dark - looking for your drink. Toilets are always clean and there's a decent selection of snacks. Staff are friendly enough. Ample free parking - no need to drive around for ages unlike The Vue at The Fort. It would be good if the Meercat 2-4-1 would be available more days. Well deserved 5*
My wife just returned from Showcase after taking our 6 year old daughter and 8 year old nephew. All was good apart from an incident that totally spoiled the enjoyment. Kids wanted popcorn that was £4 a bag which was to share between them. She then asked for an extra empty bag so she could share the popcorn between both.Staff refused this and told her she had to pay another £4 to get another popcorn as they don't give out empty bags. She then asked for an empty paper cup and they refused her that also. After paying £26.10 for the tickets and to then being you cant get an empty bag or cup so you can share the popcorn with 2 children is poor. There is nothing to justify this. Is this the world we live in now? I award The Showcase the Christmas Gringe Award. Merry Christmas to you all.
I live very local to this venue and it's been all renovated with the recliner seats etc so it's a pleasure to go and watch a movie. I also have an insider card which gives me discounted prices sun-tues. Their snacks and drinks are priced the same as other brands of cinema but have no bother taking your own which I do.
The cinema is exceptionally well equipped to make watching movies even more enjoyable. Seats with extendable footrests to view in a semi-recumbent position. A cinema worth visiting and recommending to others.
