Hands down the best fish and chips in the region, if not the country... When eating in, the cod is always freshly fried to perfection, with just the right amount of crunchingly crisp batter. The cod itself is never too dry. The fluffy chunky chips and curry make a great companion to the cod too. Although this is not the cheapest fish and chips around, it definitely deserves every penny for the quality found nowhere else.

Disappointed Barnacles used to be one the best fish and chip shops but it seems to have lost its way

Only got 2 stars for the taste. Ordered a fish £5.60 takeaway got home to see not even half a fish. A bit of scrap and not enough fish to fill a fish finger. Used to love this place. Never again though. Will stick to my usual norton fisheries always nice food good portions. Hate being stiffed 😠😠😠
