It might be the best secondhand bookshop I've ever been in.nnI love books, I love looking in all the little corners, and this place is just an absolute treasure trove, and the lady on the till was so exceptionally genuine and warm. Such a delight to visit, and I will be right back the next time I'm in Suffolk.
Just the most amazing bookshop, there's always such a warm welcome and it's individual but very well stocked and competitively priced. We always come away with a box full of goodies and with our heads full of the stimulating, funny and interesting conversations we always end up having with the owner
A great place to browse lovely books, comfy chairs around and the owner is really lovely. Highly recommended. Books are cheap too.
During my solo backpacking journey inspired by W.G. Sebald’s “The Rings of Saturn,” retracing the route from Ipswich to Norwich, I stumbled upon this charming little bookstore during a transfer. Intrigued by the possibility of finding another edition of “The Rings of Saturn” for my travels, I decided to give it a shot and inquired with the shop owner. This led to a delightful conversation that left a lasting impression on me. The owner’s profound knowledge of literature and art was truly remarkable. Although I didn’t find “The Rings of Saturn,” I did leave with a copy of Paul Klee’s lecture notes, which has been a treasured addition to my journey. Now, having completed my hike, I often reminisce about this enchanting encounter. I am incredibly grateful to the beautiful, wise, kind, and lovely shop owner for making this moment such a memorable part of my adventure.
This is what makes finding a treasured Bookshop fun and exciting. Chaotic in a good way, very relaxed, armchairs in nooks for you to enjoy.
