Barking and Dagenham Register Office

I was married here October 2022 it was a beautiful day not only in the weather for October but the whole experience. From the security that opened the gate for our car with a smile, through to the greetings and compliments from the registrar on arrival, which continued through to the woman who married us all just as nice as one and other. Helpful throughout the whole time with tips where to take the best pictures and have the nicest experience even taking time out to take a group photo as we didn't have a professional photographer. Couldn't fault the staff or the place and atmosphere. Left married and very happy.

Totally appalling can't even contact them through the number. Asked and payed for a copy of my bth certifate payed £13.50 so I sign for it this was on the 5th Dec 2022 still haven't received it even after the 6 day deadline, now my son loses his payment for his passport of £75.00 bcos he can't go forward without my birth certifate

If you are getting married and are lucky to have Andrea and Juli conduct your ceremony, then you are in very good hands. These 2 Registars made my husband and I wedding ceremony just magical and perfect and they put us both at ease. Thank you both so very much for making our day so special. x

We were married last week June 2021 The dark haired lady with glasses was very rude definitely not a people person, the male deputy registrar was lovely and the other 2 ladies were nice. Wasn’t made welcome when we arrived a very cold reception. All of my guests commented on how rude, cold and condescending the dark haired lady with glasses was. It was a shame. Because it ruined what should of been a happy experience. Some people need to know how to treat guests. I just wish I had chosen somewhere Else to marry.

Admittedly it took 5 tries on different days on the phone before I got through to someone. Would be better if they made the whole booking process online for weddings. However once booking was made they were great with communicating available options, and guiding you through the day. On the day of the ceremony, the 2 ladies couldn't be nicer! They both made you feel welcomed, relaxed and the ceremony was so emotional. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend here for your civil ceremony. Lovely venue both inside and out, and some of the nicest people you will meet.

I don't usually write reviews but I'm compelled to here. All staff were extremely courteous and approachable. Andrea was excellent and I could have not picked a better person to have had the pleasure of speaking with. 5/5

Me and my soon to be husband went to give our notice of marriage and one off the staff Andrea think that’s her name she was so lovely she went out off her way for us as we was about 2 min late as forgot documents.. she made us feel comfortable, very lovely lady definitely recommen in seeing this lady she was amazing.thank you for your help. . She was the only one to make us feel welcome thank you.

My future husband and I went along to register for our up and coming wedding... Our appointment was with the lovely Andrea. Andrea was very helpful, polite, and just generally an all round lovely lady... Would highly recommend this registrar and the Woodlands, as it is set back from the main road it has all of its original charming from days gone by. With many thanks to Andrea and all staff. My husband & I had our marriage ceremony here last week. We couldn't have wished for a better service. Cheryl our Registrar & Anna the Deputy were very welcoming and really but us at ease. They were very friendly to our children and involved them in our service which made it extra special. Cheryl also kindly took some photos for us too. Thanks again for a special ceremony with lots of memories.
