Just got our order from this establishment and we are devastated. Waited 12 weeks for two Marble tables and dark wood dinning table. Marble was in wrong colour and the work on the product is rather poor - there’s even some unfinished metal bits. It looks incredibly cheap although we paid around £1200 for two tables. The dinning table was supposed to have uneven, wavy edges instead we got straight table with lump at the end. We did raise our concerns at the shop and asked about the bad reviews online. They assured us that their products are at the higest standard. That’s wrong. TRUST THE BAD REVIEWS. They make incredibly cheap products with prices like top end interior designer shops. QUALITY is shocking. Save your time and energy - look for furniture elsewhere.
Our first experience here was great. A very polite of i May say older gentleman served us. We decided to for an Ercol L shape sofa and Tempur Superking bed. This was back in 2021. There was so delays with Ercol due to the pandemic but everything was communicated and so worth the wait after trying so many larger brand stores and many many sofas. I like that this is isn’t a huge company but there is so much selection. My last few visits have been less pleasant. Perhaps the Buisness is having some challenges or a change in staff and management. I’ve decided both times not to make a purchase and have instead opted for smaller independent Buisness for the rest of my home finishing and accessories. The staff come across quite unbothered and sadly snobby for such a cool well selected collection of furniture. This is home furnishing you want warmth and style. Both lacking from any of the servers now.
Really terrible company to deal with. I purchased a table for over £1000. Waited months for it to be delivered when I was finally called to book in the delivery. I had my date and on the day they gave me a 3 hour delivery window. Just half an hour before then I received a phone call from the delivery driver to say that my table had been damaged in the van and would have to be returned to the warehouse for repair then sent back out. They are utter trash. Expensive prices but the cheapest and lowest quality of customer care. You can also buy their products from Fenwick and get cheaper delivery than these thieves will charge you direct. Would honestly avoid them completely.
We bought living room and bedroom in tihs shop and we did not have a smooth experience as some chairs were faulty and the bedroom wardrobe came with some components broken. They say that furniture will be assembled which was not true in our case. After sales: it can be frustrating dealing with them asking for things that should not have been happened in first place, they tried the best to sort out things, however at the end was not satisfactory the whole experience and we decided to keep broken chair rather than calling and calling...
Stephen was incredible! His knowledge was second to none which helped me and my girlfriend choose the perfect sofa and dinning table to fit and match in our new home! Thank you Stephen!
The staff is unhelpful. The lighting is poor the way the items are displayed does not help to form an opinion whether they would suit any other decor.
Loved the experience here. Bought a chest of drawers and a member of staff even helped me to carry it to my car. There is a great range of beautiful furniture here. I absolutely enjoyed the experience. Would definitely come back again.
Big and spacious furniture shop with new furniture's around the shop. 2 storey shop with staff around. Good place to buy if you have the cash

Barker and Stonehouse take your money saying an item is in stock but arranging delivery is a nightmare - still waiting several weeks later for the so called stock item to be delivered - because they use a third party delivery company who they don't seem to have much control over or take responsibility for. In my opinion poor service!
