I have been in this shop maybe 3-4 times. I think documenting my experiences on two occasions is necessary, as factually as possible. 1. The first instance, I walked into threats being shared between 3-4 people. The argument seemed to centre around the kicking of a dog, which I did not witness, and a fight in the cramped alley-like space seemed imminent. I left shortly after. 2. Tonight, several months later, I walked in and greeted one of two men behind the counter. I asked if they had ice cream. I admittedly misheard them say upstairs. I walked to the end of the the shop and had not ventured past the step before one of the attendees decided to shout and swear at me. I calmly and very politely clarified I had misheard him. It was an easily made mistake, and could be been cleared up in a second. For any reasonable person, it should have ended there but he decided to be aggressive and confrontational. This was a non-infraction based on a simple miscommunication. I said quite sternly that he should not treat customers like this, nor that I would allow myself to be spoken to in this way, and that I would not be returning. These owners need to reflect on the way they treat general members of the public, and perhaps also refrain from either kicking or associating with people who kick animals. A bit of decency might go far, in the immediate way that I would not feel it necessary to write an honest review about TWO shocking separate experiences of their misconduct. I have stated this as factually as possible, to avoid being libellous, and should anyone from its management wish to reply to explain why the behaviour in either of these instances was acceptable, I welcome it. Update: thank you to management for replying. The 2nd instance was appx. 7pm this past Saturday 04/11. JM
