Went in 3 times this morning waited ages each time to ask someone about be an ISA. Nobody was around to ask. Went to 3 other banks in Blackburn and got help straight away ended up buying an ISA elsewhere
My Husband has taken has over as treasurer of a charity who banks with Barclays. It has taken two weeks to be able to contact a person who knew what they were doing, One phone call cost him £10.00 from a number he was given. The person he finally spoke to sent him paperwork he had to download which he did. The paper work was returned 24h February, still waiting for update. Checked the branch opening times, went today at 14.04 to pay in some money and cheques only to be told counters close at 14.00 every day, but didn't state this on bank opening times. This place is not fit for purpose Plus this cost £1.40 parking fee and petrol to get there, Which will have to be repeated again tomorrow.
bad service in all honesty, no respect for customers unhelpful, the staff was some indian or pakistani origin and totally unwelcoming, had no answer to customer query. worst of all he was loud raising voice. I wasn't able to change my atm pin at Barclays atm in Blackburn. I walked in branch and explained the problem, instead of looking into the matter he started speaking loudly almost shouting and not really listening to me instead making his presence felt almost confronting. Despite showing him the problem by actually repeating exactly what I did to change the pin at their own ATM, he still couldn't understand the problem. Was he sleeping or something??? O my GOD....he then said show it again, then again I repeated cos he wasn't paying attention the first time. Despite showing and explaining that many times he had no clue or idea whatsoever to help ...I had to call up barclays long wait to be get through I spit on such customer service not literally provided by front line staff who are wrongfully appointed and untrained just wasted so much of my time energy. The right front line staff executes a smooth service.. Good bye barclays....
If I had to give nothing as a star, I would… Barclays are useless, they don’t advice and can’t say nothing when you have issues with your account. They are a JOKE! Banks are meant to help you and clearly they don’t, plus when you are still a customer of theirs.
If I could give a zero rating I would, never have I spoke to with such an attitude. Cash machine wouldn't take my card so I could pay in, explained my wife had tried the same earlier in the week as I was away. Only to be told in and condescending way " she this is her words, should not have my card" and then to be told they can't help me ring the number. Horrible customer service.
I can’t praise enough, Julie Kirkwood from the Blackburn branch, who has gone about solving an issue I had with my Barclaycard for 2 months which was not resolved by 2 other people previously. She took the problem by the scruff of the neck and has resolved the issue in 24 hours. Very impressed
The lady at the reception was realy nice and very helpfull and realy acomadating

3 weeks ago after my mother passed we spent 45 mins in the Blackburn branch sorting out our account. We were over from Canada so time was limited, we were told to send a letter with our forwarding address and ask them to send online banking details which we did. Have now received a letter sent to the correct address saying they cannot change our address!!!! Now suggesting we come back to the UK to sort it out. Terrible service will be changing banks, also not speaking to the UK, it's India
Can't say I mind the automated system at all, apart from the fact that 9 out of 10 times there's at least one machine out of order, so one star lost there. Another star goes for opening at 9.30am Saturday morning instead of 9am like weekdays which I find strange. Apart from that the bots, I mean the staff are helpful.
