Just been in Aldi, Great Harwood. The assistant serving me on the till was distracted chatting to her work mate through the head phones. The conversation didn't seem work related. I asked her if she should be concentrating on her customers rather than chatting. I asked what her manager would say if I was yo speak to them. No apology. Very rude I think.
Staff are rude and abrupt ,they accused my friend of buying drinks for a minor has she had picked it up and put it in her trolley for her. They blew it out of proportion. When my friend tried to explain as they refused her the sale they became abusive ,clever in approach and in my opinion unprofessional. The assistance manager also made a derogatory comment to me and he lied and said there was no manager at first when I insisted I wanted the number etc ge became angry on tone !! They have been abrupt on several occasions and they are ignorant whilst on headsets making jokes etc in front of customers. No customer care at all. I will be shopping elsewhere
I always like Aldi. They stock every basic thing I need and their aisles are easy to navigate.nWhoever plans their store layouts knows their job.
This is our preferred store over our local one as there is room to move and shop even at peak times. Only problem is we often cannot get all of our list on Sundays as the shelves tend to run low.nEdit: Just had very bad customer service experience. Rude member of staff, removing products from sale out of spite and then talking about us through their headsets. Very bad experience. Stars removed. Well done Aldi recruitment staff, picked some lemons there.
Paid more than what we owed at the self service checkout in Great Harwood AldinThe total shopping came up to £21.73. We put in £13 coins in. The balance on the checkout should have said £8.73 but it was stuck at £16.73. we called the staff to tell them the problem. He opened up the self service and closed it and £5 pound note came out of the checkout. We put in another £1 pound coin whilst the employee watched and the balance had not gone done but now was showing the original £21.73.nThe employee calls the deputy store manager Kayleigh and we explain the situation to her though she could not understand. She then goes to check the CCTV with the other managers and she and Matt the manager claims we put money in but can't see how much money went in therefore we still owe them the full amount of money.nStaff were very argumentative and rude and kayleigh was still arguing even after we paid the full amount and extra. The collegue who saw us put the money in and saw the balance not moving did not advocate for us. We lost out on money due the machine. Do not use the self service checkouts at this Aldi.
