They don't want customers do they. We wanted to open an ISA, I don't have a Barclays account, my partner does. There were 2 staff 'meeting and greeting' but we would need to either return much later that day, or the next appointment is end of February likely when the ISA is no longer available. Oh, but as a non-customer, I could download the app. Apply through that by scanning my documents that I had on me in branch and then book an appointment. I'd rather have less interest and use a bank that actually wants me to be a customer. I'm sure this isn't necessarily restricted to this branch. AVOID if you can.
I went there this morning to book a mortgage appointment but the guy said there is no need to book one. He has sent me to do it online or call instead. I went home and tried to do it online but website isn’t working properly. I’ve filled all the information and on the last step does not allow me to further. There is no red markings or anything saying I did something wrong, it just doesn’t allow me to complete my application. Staff at the bank isn’t helpful at all. We will try my partners bank instead because Barclays is trash now. So sorry because I’ve been customer for 11 years.
Had an appointment today at 2pm waited sitting on a sofa for 15 mins no one came told the staff we were going. walked around town then went at 3 pm told someone would come to us they didnt after waiting again approached staff member to tell them we were leaving he didnt seem to care will now go to another bank
Yesterday we were in the bank to set up apps for our daughter, the gentleman who served us was reluctant to do it, he was incompetent and arrogant .... Finally he said that the account was £ 15 and the daughter did not need to see it online we open account 2 weeks ago, yesterday just recive pin. From the beginning he had a problem with us because his second question was where is our nationality from .... When my partner replied we are Poles, he was disgusted. He was racist and he let us feel it. He should not work with other people, especially in a bank where all nationalities come.
This branch is absolutely awful never any cashiers about no matter how long the queue or time of day, the only saving grace is the one cashier Georgina who is the only person with any customer service or ounce of decency by the looks of it.
Need to pay over the counter one staff on desk long que not one came over to help. 3 staff by the machines help nobody. Place is a joke.
Complete joke, I was on hold for most of the morning trying to reach a member of staff. I finally got through to someone after being on hold for over 1 1/2 hours and was told I would have to come in person. The line was over a dozen people long and 1 person on counter. This was apparently due to the fact that no one else was available. There was at least 5 women just stood there chatting, playing on there phones and drinking coffee. These were on break or were busy doing something else according to them when I asked for help.It took over 30 minutes to get to the counter and I was then told they were closing. Useless staff all over.
Service is an absolute shambles. Waiting 20 minutes to to complete a 1 minute transaction at a machine that is meant to make things quicker and easier. You are open till 4:30pm, yet your counter services finish at 2pm. Why? Then you only have 1 counter open, which was completely understandable when restrictions were in place, but I’m sure you can make amendments now to at least get 2 open. The machine you have to deposit cash always has massive queues, why not install 1 or 2 more? You have serval other machines which hardly anyone uses, replace them? It’s the sensible option if you’re going to withdraw counter services as dramatically as you have. I never have issues at HSBC Walsall, but when I plan to go to Barclays I need to book the afternoon off. You make plenty of money from your consumer, maybe reinvest it into this branch.
Rotten service! Struggled with loads of coin c.£1000 from charity fundraising, in bags as suggested. Found out they CLOSE at 2.00 p.m. Where is this information? All they give is opening times! Wasted journey. Local branch closed, so wasted more than an hour driving there and had to pay parking fee... for nothing. Lots of people 'standing around' in Barclays uniform... but the counter was CLOSED! I don't want a 'Greeter' to ask me why I'm coming to Barclays... I want someone to receive the cash! What an absolute farce.
Worst Barclays Bank I've ever been to needed to deposit some fund raising money for TCT firstly I was told I could just deposit the money using the machines ??? What with bags of change then when I got to counter the cashier needed a break down of the money ok. So when I got to the notes she said she needed to know the full amount for Christ sake get some decent staff who actually know what they are doing and have manners
