Like the rest of Barclays service, pretty rubbish, branches closing, limited number of opening days and hours. Cutting customer service to try to switch everything online. All my local branches now closed so have to travel 15 miles to nearest branch which is not open every day ! Sick of complaining, nothing changes!
Staff are very helpful when the branch actually opens its doors. But let's be thankful that they do open occasionally, unlike Nat West who left Hexham about five years ago. Very very inconvenient for thousands of folk.
Counters closed means you are NOT open! Why don’t you admit it and post this on the web as your true opening hours? I have travelled 25 miles to the bank in Hexham to find your service now closed a whole 5 days until after Easter. Another customer wanted to open an account for charity and was equally incensed. What are banks for?
Barclays is funding climate change and should be avoided. Why not switch to a better bank? I can highly recommend Triodos - they invest your money in great causes and their customer phone service beats Barclays' by a mile.
I cannot for the life of me understand why this excellent bank has one 3 star and two 1 star reviews. I strongly disagree, as I have found it to be the best bank I've come across. I've met all the staff in the last 9 years and liked every one of them. They are very friendly and helpful, with good sparky personalities. They've helped me with everything I've needed, and done all I've ever asked of them. This is a well run bank with excellent staff, every one of them. They serve you well and with a smile and I always enjoy going in and seeing them.
Only able to give Barclays one star and that star is for their lovely staff in branch, zero stars for barclays company who are investing in dirty fossil fuel extraction which is fuelling the climate crisis. That is my savings, my pension fund etc. And yours. So great staff... terrible bank.
Even when they're open they're closed, 3 members of staff, only one bothering to point customers in the direction of a self service machine.
If you want to use a cashpoint fine but anything else sorry counters closed ... put on your website this bank is closed annoying wasting peoples time
