I am in the process of remortgaging. The service in the bank was very good. The mortgage advisor explained everything and explored various products with me. I left the bank relieved and hoping to have the answer to the mortgage application withing 2-3 weeks ( my current mortgage deal expires in a couple of months time). 2 weeks passed-no news, 3 weeks passed- no news from the advisor. After a month I contacted her via email. No response. I left 2 messages on her mobile-no response. I called the help line that was suggested on the advisors voice mail- the number was out of service and there was redirection to a bbc website to find another number (?) In the end I called a general help line for barclays bank. It appears that my application HASN'T been submitted!!! I got the tel number to the mortgage team manager... guess what ... no answer  I had to leave a voice mail... Unbelievable... I wonder if I should look for another mortgage advisor or keep waiting until someone decides to answer my calls and emails? So frustrating!

This branch seems almost like it's starting to fall down, it all feels a little worn out and run down. Staff were really friendly though, couldn't do enough to help me in opening an account. If recommend the bank to people now just off of the back of that.
