Bit of tapas style lunch on the Barbican, Plymouth. Gotta say nice setting on the harbor side, garlic mushroom, salt & pepper squid, tempura prawns. Bread & oils and the obligatory fries, all freshly cooked, served nice and quick.....very nice, well worth a visit
We went today for lunch The pizzas were good in taste and amount of ingredients The best ones were the small garlic dough balls The fries were not nice as they tasted fish, like if they were fried in the same oil as fish . The ordering was done online and required an email which is a bit ridiculous and not at all necessary. There was no tap water on the menu even though it was available. The drinks were overpriced but that’s what you get with the barbican
Cold inside as all open and queue alongside table all night. Single file queue to bar for drinks. Only allowed seating of eating. Food was good. No toilets available
Friendly waiting staff. We ate outside. Food was good and tasty. Spaghetti with prawns came out steaming hot which is good to see. The pizza was original stone baked. Dough was light and generous filling with cheese, ham, chicken and pepperoni. We asked for another round of drinks at the table but the waiteress with bright red hair, big smile and a huge love bite on her neck said I had to order at the bar so didn't bother. Good location, reasonably priced.
Nice place to sit out in the sun, staff were friendly and efficient. Ordered tiger prawn pasta which my wife and I thought was a little bland, plenty of good sized prawns though, the roast chicken salad was nice, as were the mozzarella sticks and sweet potato fries.
Had lovely Italian style lunch served by first class helpful staff. Loved the place.
Quite the musical heart of the Barbican area, definitely worth stopping by for food, drink, or just some good music provided live by local talent!
Service great. View / location great with outdoor seating. Vegan option appreciated. Crucial detail the dough, fantastic. Wine standard. Topping undercooked / cold!!! although didn't ask for it to be resolved as didn't want cremated bodily fluid on it haha
Been here a few times for drinks - nothing to complain about. Plenty of outdoor seating, partly covered by large canopies, so no problem to sit outside in the rain.
Stopped for a late lunch, certainly wasn't disappointed! Best tempura prawns and squid we've ever had and the chips were to die for!!
