The mood, the food. We serve both.
Balti Curries is the oldest curry house in Cornwall, and is conveniently located right in the heart of Falmouth, just near to the Sea Front. Mr. Hem started his first Nepalese restaurant in Plymouth in 1999, at this time there were no Nepalese restaurants in Cornwall. He later moved to the Balti Curries adding together Nepalese and Indian cuisine. Today there are about 32 Nepalese and many Indian curry houses so we would like to say thank you to all the people of Falmouth and the whole Cornwall for liking us.
As Balti Curries have the special features of carrying spices from Nepal in one hand and from India in other, Balti is unique in a sense, as it creates its own ideas rather than copying someone elses. This is why it has become known as the "second to none curry place", successfully serving spices from the Himalayas of Nepal and the mouth watering Indian curries!! Balti has added the colour of spices into the Cornish Life in Falmouth and has been able to attract tourists from all over the place.
The cosy establishment is a single family restaurant with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Our heart touching celebration of Birthdays are unique with surprising real flower Garland, cake and sparkling jumbo wine; don't think you will be charged, its from the Balti Family.
With all the help and support of the Cornish and especially the people of Falmouth, Balti Curries has been successfully able to support different charity works either within the U.K or Nepal. It has been able to collect money for Oxfam, Diabetes, Tsunami and many more in support of U.K charities also sending Ambulance, Fire Engine, Doctor Camps etc. for Nepal. Recently also Balti Curries organised and entertainment evening by mixing Cornish/English and Nepalese culture together in the Falmouth.
Balti Curries is metaphorically the father as well as mother of curry houses in Cornwall, and has always successfully served food as well as society, keeping the customers preferences and satisfaction at any cost with our unique blend of spices and curries of the Far East to add beauty to sensible and healthy eating in Cornwall.
