Played the course yesterday on an interesting day of weather. The buildings round the car park look nice when you arrive and that's always a promising sign. The lad in the pro shop was very helpful and got us sorted for our round (always nice when clubs aren't petty enough to charge for pencils as well). After a quick putt and hit in the nets we got away. The course had a few groups out but we didn't experience any hold up or pressure from behind. Ground was holding a bit of water from a night of rain but nowhere felt excessively muddy and the course was in pretty good condition all things considered. Greens were very soft but quick, you can tell the members take care of them. Can't say the course is overly difficult, but the par 4's have a decent average length and accuracy is key off the tee with plenty of tree's around to cause some trouble. I imagine these cause a lot more issues in the summer months. None of the par 3's are short either, though I do think some of the yardages were off (hole 4 cannot be more than 160 yards?). Whilst not having a huge variety of features (no water, limited sand), the course is very pretty, even in the occasional blustery winds and snow we experienced. After the golf we were welcomed warmly into the spikes bar. The food menu had a great selection and was very reasonably priced. Our orders were brought out not too long after we ordered and the food was far better than I was expecting for the price. Overall, really impressed with the all round package here. For £30 a round (in winter) it's well deserving of 5 stars.

Hired for private function. Everyone enjoyed the venue, food and drinks selection. Laura, Mark, Chef and the team took great care to ensure we had a great evening. Highly recommended.

Played in November and the course was in great condition. The clubhouse is very hospitable, with a very good selection and quality of food.
