Brandon seems like a nice lad at first and appears to work hard. He did a good job of fitting hardwood flooring. I think he may be inexperienced at more complex jobs as we commissioned him to build a built in bookcase and cupboard. We wanted to see a design first and made our own sketches, but he never provided one which was problematic. It’s more of a media unit that bookcase. The mdf is only nailed at the front of the shelves and not glued so it may not hold for the long run. He shouldn’t take on work if he can’t do it.  Unfortunately Brandon did not finish the job of fitting a straight and neat cupboard with an internal mortise fitting. The door is wonky and it doesn’t shut.  I trusted Brandon with a key to our house, as he had double booked himself with work so wanted to work late into the weekend, when he came back to allegedly fix the door he failed to do the work and took the left over plywood which I had permitted but also took plywood belonging to another workmen. He used decorators caulk on the shelves which he claimed could be sanded down, I checked on the back of the tube he left and it can’t. It cost me an extra day’s work for the decorator to fix that sloppy work. I will have to get someone to fix that door and I had to replace the other guy’s plywood. This has cost me hundreds extra! He also got caulk on the engineered wood flooring, he promised to come back to clean that but didn’t. Brandon stopped replying to texts and calls as I had already paid him. Sorry but I would not recommend him I or trust him at all.
