We were looking for a dark oak fence paint today. Surprisingly someone from the staff was there and asked if they can help. Not sure why if the were rude and didn't really want to help. He didn't find the paint that we were after. However, there was the same brand paint with the same colour specified on the package. Nevertheless we asked if the other can is exactly the same colour to be sure. We have been assured that it is the same colour and the only difference is the 5 year quarantee. I am leaving pictures for you to decide if it is the same colour.... Update from the day after... Went to return the paint. Lady at the till asked what is wrong with it, so we replied that it is not the same colour as her colleague suggested the day before and showed her the picture. Her reply: "You haven't mixed the paint properly". She went to speak to someone, then came back and stood there without saying anything. So we asked what are we waiting for? She replied that someone from the department will come and check if that is the same colour. After few minutes, she went again to speak to someone and came back saying that she checked with the manager and it is OK to do the refund. So we asked if noone from the department is coming to check now. She replied: "No, I have seen the pictures and it is ok". As I can't stand the nonsense I have asked what changed, as she previously said that we haven't mixed it properly and now she is saying that she has seen the picture and it is fine. Another absurd answer : "I am not a paint expert". Me neither but you can clearly see the two are different colours... Useless and rude as usual....
Normally no staff on hand willing to help on my previous visits. However yesterday was different a pleasant experience great customer service. Ishaq Khan, working in the kitchen department was very helpful. The young man helped me choose the items I needed by advising and giving the relevant information I needed.
It was my first time to shop in this place. I was impressed by the fact that the shop opens at 7am. I was able to buy some dehumidifiers before reporting to working. There is also plenty of parking spaces. The entrance is also wheelchair friendly. The shop is well arranged and clean.
Jane trade section and her colleague Sam who had just started work at the store went above and beyond with their customer service when we visited the store on 9th August. Both stayed behind despite store closing and despite it being the end of their shift in order to help find tiles in stock, as another member of staff had not put them in the proper place. Sam helped us lift heavy boxes of tiles out of the way to get to the ones we needed. They were so polite and helpful. They are an asset to B & Q. Jane is always helpful when we see her.
Excellent service received from a lovely man called Brandon L. He dealt with our issue with professionalism and speed. His friendly attitude was reassuring and greatly appreciated. An absolute credit to B & Q - reach for the stars Brandon you deserve to achieve great heights. Thank you
Fabulous. Beautiful Christmas trees at £5 each!! Can't go wrong. Team members were really helpful in getting my trees netted and sorting me at the till.
Can't say much, it's as expected. Pretty much everything you need for house DIY stuff/projects Parking is plentiful, staff pleasant and helped me find hard to find items Plenty of stock and variety, prices I feel are ok/average, some stuff is in the expensive side but that's more of a reflection of prices on a whole going up
What have you done to the derby you store. Self checkouts that take small baskets and card only payment are awful..not fit for purpose. 1 staffed cash checkout had a tape across; the assistant I use the term loosely -the last thing she did was assist was rude. The only place for cash was checkout where several returns were being processed. That assistant asked the rude lade to reopen her till....she refused. Many unhappy customers I won't be going here again despite having a trade account..wickes is more customer focused. Absolute debacle!
The security guy was chasing and staring at me for no aparent reason. I ended up not buying anything cuz he intimidated me...not good at all. The staff was wiling to help but didnt seem to be in a good mood...i will look for an alternative to B&Q
Fantastic service. Used click and collect. Every was ready for collection within the hour. They even had a trolley waiting for us. For what we purchased, B&Q was cheapest.
