Normally I ask for a pot of tea and a cake, but today I ordered a salad with smoked salmon, potatoes and some crunchy green leaves.....it was delicious! I left an empty plate ; The place evolved over the years, evolved for good! Keep it that way please. Kid-friendliness: It's a great place for parents with their monsters
Lovely discovery of this venue! A cold rainy day, but we sat inside & enjoyed a great meal. Staff were very friendly & service was good. Nice museum in the main house too - lots of interactive displays & interesting. Dietary restrictions: Had the option of gluten free bread.
We loved this place. We have lived in Spalding for 6 years and have been meaning to go. So glad we did. Beautiful museum and gardens. The cafe is a family run cafe. The food is delicious , especially the breakfasts. Katie made our museum tour really interesting and she took time out to explain the history to us. She is very knowledgeable and passionate about her job.

Called for morning coffee and bread pudding, mmm!! So good, we booked for lunch. What a treat, all 4 of us were delighted with our meals, my OH normally chooses from burger, fried fish or pie. Today he chose Salt baked beetroot, goats cheese and candied walnuts, with a nicely dressed mixed leaf salad. He loved it, and was so full he had to leave a whole tub of chunky chips! The young staff were friendly and efficient. We look forward to returning.
The food was lovely. Really good value for money and the service was prompt and polite. It was very busy when we visited, which was the first Monday lunchtime in August, so there were lots of families and small children. There's plenty of outside seating, but not so much of it is undercover. Although we didn't need it today, we would have done just 24 hours ago. Because it was busy there was a short wait for some people so it is best to book a table ahead of visiting. However, although we booked online through their contact us page, but no one ever came back. We've no idea whether we'd booked or not
Food is so good and massive portions! Staff very polite. Dog friendly outside with water bowls for the dogs
Absolutely love this little gem. The food is always amazing and the staff can't do enough for u. They are so friendly and service is excellent. I had the chicken tikka foccacia and that's my new favourite. Thanks guys.
What a little gem of a place. Bonus that it's Dog friendly too. We had 3 different meals there today, all was Amazing. Staff are Really Lovely too Vegetarian options: Lovely food but not much in the way of veggie options
Went there for a spot of lunch today, I have to say I will be going back at every opportunity. Despite living through the COVID era, the cafe was welcoming and enough space given to all occupants. The service was exceptional, however the food and drink were the star of the show. As a family we had some amazing generously portioned food, the drinks were equally outstanding Caramel Latte’s for the record. Would thoroughly recommend to both locals and visitors alike.
