Well, it’s the start of Christmas week and we’ve had to make the decision to leave our home due to the temperature inside dropping to 10 degrees over the weekend. Saturday night was brutal with no heating, freezing temperatures and snow has left my poor husband who suffers terribly with asthma with a nasty chest infection. We’ve had to close our business early for the Christmas break as we run it from home and it is simply too cold to work or be in the house. We now have a delivery date of Tuesday 20th December. Which I can only hope actually arrives, unlike the last two. I would have thought that a customer with no gas on Thursday would result in a delivery day of Friday or Saturday at the latest, apparently not. Extremely miserable to be left in the depths of winter with no gas. Avoid this company at all costs they are incompetent and cannot do the one thing they are contracted to do; deliver gas. They state you’ll get you gas within 7-10 working days - it will be 24 working days 34 calendar days if it actually arrives tomorrow. When you call them out on that fact they start trying to throw in the difference between manual and automatic orders and that the 7-10 working days only applies to automatic orders and that manual orders will be received ‘in good time’. Being left to run out of gas is not ‘in good time’ in my opinion. Also you’ll see on other reviews that automatic orders are also left to run out. This is not a company which is run well, they are an absolute shambles and are not to be trusted.
Echoing all the other negative reviews. You order in good time and they promise delivery within 10 working days. Weeks later, broken promises and no delivery: you run out of gas and you're left with no heating and no hot water in the middle of winter. No-one answers the phone, no-one cares. Stay away, they're abysmal. Use a different supplier - even if they cost more. Getting locked into a contract with Avanti is a terrible decision.
This company are just useless. I ordered a refill for my tank on 8th March 2023 when the gauge read 30% as per instructions on their website. Delivery was supposed to be 10 - 15 working days. I updated the gauge readings online regularly to show that my gas supply was getting precarious, but nothing happened. When the gas finally ran out two days ago I rang their customer service number had to hold for almost an hour to be advised that this was now deemed an "emergency delivery". I called again this morning, and am still awaiting a confirmed delivery date. We have elderly relatives staying with us, and there has been no heating since Monday. I also raised a formal complaint via their website, but nobody has bothered to get in touch with me.
Really appalling service. On automated deliveries but today we hit 0% on our tank and ran out completely - no heating, hot water, no hobs. I am pregnant and I have a 3 year old. Our new underfloor heating system is likely to get damaged as the plumber told us we must not run out of gas. We chased up Avanti Gas last week to say our tank was getting low despite the fact the order had been generated on 6th March and we're on automated deliveries and we keep our readings up to date and they said 'rest assured we won't let your tank run out'. We called today to explain the situation and were told we'd get a call back. No one ever did. It's absolutely appalling and no company can run like this. We have made a formal complaint and will be looking for compensation. Plus looking to move to a new provider as Avanti have breached contract.
This greedy little pathetic excuse of an LPG supplier should be avoided at all costs. Placed my order at 25% as told to, no delivery after 15 working days there own time frame. Waited 25 minutes just for phone to be answered same as every other time I call. Now at 5% my delivery is 'escalated' but they still can't tell me when it will be delivered customer service unwilling to pick up the phone to distribution depot it seems. Not allowed to speak to a manager. Pathetic company at every stage of the process.
If you have any sense, you’ll stay clear of this company. A complete shambles. Had the cheek to want to charge me an additional £250 if I was ordering with over 10% in my tank. In recent years they have always wanted you to order around 20-30% One year our tank cut out at 20% and had to get the engineer out to replace a part. Anyway this year have ordered 4 weeks ago to date. Still waiting for delivery. Confirmed I was under 10% and wasn’t paying the £250. Scheduled me in for a Friday 23rd delivery. Failed to turn up, I await to see what next week brings but running with currently 4% gas now a frail 96 year old in the house fearing for no heating soon. PLEASE ALL STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY AND DO ALL YOU CAN TO CHANGE SUPPLIERS IF YOU CAN. DONT ALLOW APPAULING COMPANIES LIKE THIS WITH TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE PROFIT.
I have been tied to Avantis gas for a number of years. Initially the service was more than acceptable. In recent years, despite being on automatic top up I have been allowed to run out of gas, deliveries don't arrive when scheduled and despite being massively in credit they now wish to increase my direct debit. Whilst the staff answering the phone though you regularly wait ages for the phone to be answered - today was 32 minutes are polite and helpful, they are never able to provide an answer. The service is unacceptable. I am not someone who writes google reviews but today has been the limit with Avanti Gas! Go elsewhere if you have the chance!
Premier Gas taken over by Avanti.Awful company. Delivery requested at 20% on 31/1 & told delivery scheduled. Email received to expect delivery on 7/3 - no show, no update. Tank now on ZERO which is unforgivable. We are elderly, disabled & vulnerable, with no heating. Premier would have a delivery within days once notified we were at 20%. Now looking urgently for another supplier.
This company have allowed my 87 year old Mother to run out of gas for all heating and cooking despite regular gauge updates showing the readings to be down to below 3% several days ago. They claim "unprecedented demand" which given the mild weather we have had since Christmas is inexplicable. No excuses just dreadful service !
Avanti Gas does have issues like any other company, the main one being the need to have open and honest communication with customers - However they are a company that will work hard to resolve issues. In my case and after requesting a tank fill up at the recommended 25% gauge reading, I found myself without any update for 3 weeks. I was then told I couldn't get a delivery until my gauge was reading beneath 5%. Upon running out of gas and escalating to customer complaints I received an explanation Stanlow refinery had been closed for maintenance resulting in delays in Avanti Gas receiving deliveries - I also received a delivery next day. Overall therefore a company I am happy to continue doing business with.
