If you need to have your duvets or pillows cleaned, look no further than the fantastic Austrian Bedding Company. After a cleaning delivery service returned my precious goose down duvet and pillows smelling of rotten food after washing them incorrectly, I went to The Austrian Bedding Company and the wonderful Isolde assured me she could restore them and completely get rid of the smell. I picked them up today, better than new and plumper and softer than before. You couldn’t be in better hands and this is the only place in the UK that has the equipment and experience to properly clean down and feather duvets. Thank you so much!
Superb! I sent Isolde 2 single German duvets which I had inherited from my late mother; they were quite old and had not been used for years, but I could not bear to part with them. Isolde advised washing, replacing damaged feathers with a small quantity of fresh down and recovering. She was happy to convert them to a double duvet for me. I received the renovated double duvet 2 weeks later. Luxuriously warm, light and beautifully covered, it has been in constant use ever since. I valued the prompt and honest appraisal of the project as well as the outstanding quality of the workmanship. Thank you very much.
I am so thrilled by the service that I received from The Austrian Bedding Company. I had a treasured goose-down duvet bought from Gans, the Austrian firm, almost 30 years ago. I came across their shop in Belsize Road by chance and went in to ask advice about their service. A couple of weeks after taking in my much loved, much worn duvet, I went to collect it and it had been completely renovated, in a beautiful new white cotton cover with a better system of pockets so that the down can disperse evenly after use, plump and fragrant, and topped up with new feathers because the one I brought in didn't have enough good feathers left in it. I would recommend them in a heartbeat. And I think the price was very reasonable too, when you consider the cost of replacing it completely.
We bought some expensive duvet covers from this shop some time ago, but these were packed away and not brought into use for a considerable time due to illness. When we started to use them, extensive pilling and pulling of threads appeared after just three or four uses, and we politely asked the shop for advice. We were told quite rudely that this was due to either a cat being on the bed, or by long toe nails, and the matter completely dismissed ! We have never had a cat, or any other pet at all, in the house, nor do we have long toe nails ! Overpriced for poor quality, with arrogant customer service, we'll buy future bedding elsewhere.
I have been buying my duvets from The Austrian Bedding Co since 1998 and I have always had outstanding service. I would never buy a duvet or have one renovated anywhere else. I couldn't recommend them more highly.
