This place is the most cleanest coffee shop i have ever been. As well as having such friendly staff and their freshly ground coffee is divine. I love this place as its has such warm atmosphere with free wifi. Thank you Soho Coffee Co
Excellent! Friendly, helpful staff - always very accommodating and make me feel very welcome! Good loyalty scheme. I always enjoy coming to Soho Austin Friars
An attractive space. But that’s the only positive comment. I popped in here late afternoon because all the other coffee shops in the area were full, and this one only had a few customers. Big mistake. The staff were offhand. We stood and waited while the woman serving finished wiping surfaces and ignored us. There were some nice-looking muffins on display, but when I asked if they had been there all day, I was told that they had. They were uncovered and unwrapped. At least she was honest. I took a wrapped brownie and coffee to a table. Didn’t particularly like the coffee and it was mainly foam. But the main thing was an awful smell. Thought someone had been ill in the toilet. Moved further from toilet. New seat also surrounded by pungent sewer smell. Then realised that two people were cleaning out what looked like a bucket of sludge from dishwasher. No idea why they were doing this while there were customers trying to eat/drink. Perhaps they were keen to leave early and go somewhere for a nice coffee... Noticed a sandwich was on floor, must have fallen out of fridge but staff too busy dealing with poo-smelling sludge to notice. Sludge work finished grand finale was person carrying a huge sieve dripping with sludge past all the unwrapped cakes and upstairs. Staff member noticed sandwich on floor well done her. She picked up sandwich and returned it to fridge ah, not so well done. We had finished our coffee so decided to go and find somewhere that didn’t stink to chat. Tip for management: pay staff to stay after shop has shut and undertake industrial cleaning when no customers. Also invest in some glass covers for cakes.
As boutique coffee shops go, was comfortable and the coffee was good. Not a coffee afficionado myself, so thought it a little expensive, but my colleague frequents it regularly.Food: 4/5
A mega chilled environment which is perfect when one needs a space to study, a break from the office or catching up with friends. Clean and spacious with plenty of seats makes it easy to grab a spot and start to unwind. Decor has an industrial feel with some cool ass lighting. The staff are friendly, knowledgable and attentive. The longer bench tables makes this place great for laptop workers or students who need to spread out and the sombre music makes it mega easy to slip into your zone. Tucked away in the middle of the square mile it is primarily office workers who frequent here so expect peaks in business around breakfast and lunch. Student discount is taken so make sure you have unidays. There is also 25p off drinks when you bring your cup so there is no excuse to not try their new cold brew almond latte - win!
Friendly attentive staff, jacket was done to perfection as it was hot, soft and fluffy with a great choice of toppings. Also be sure to ask for it to be well done as the potatoes vary in size.
Very worried that a food shop preparing and selling food can think it is OK to have a toilet but tell people that dirty toilet paper must not be flushed away but just dropped in a bin. I am sure they would be shut down if a Health and Safety Inspector were to visit. Absolutely disgusting. The people saying it are preparing the food, be warned.
A quaint coffee shop / lunch bar, suitable for informal catch-ups. Not too noisy and reasonable selection of foods and sweet treats. Vegetarian options: Vegan and vegetarian options available
I have been a couple of times. 1st time the guy was tripping over himself to be helpful and I had a breakfast roll cooked as I liked it, as he took the time to ask. The coffee was pleasant, better than some others nearby. The next time I went the coffee was the best I'd had in a long while but they got my colleagues coffee wrong, and a minor issue as we were sitting in, didn't bring any sugar or advise where it was, and I simply couldn't see it. I think on the whole you may get a 'distracted server', but they were friendly and corrected their mistake quickly. I will be going back. Nice and quiet by the church at the back of the Otherist restaurant.
I love a cheeky jacket potato with cheese and bacon from here, pure comfort food. Service is great and delivered to your table with a smile.Food: 4/5
