I am getting fed up with this place. I keep calling to say I need referrals made as a new patient and prescriptions re set up. I have been a new patient now for 3 months and still no appointment. Even done online forms and nothing. But they called me to do a blood pressure check this week. Unfreaking believable. 100%pot luck with appointments every day is the only option. That is not living or best for patients.
Moved to Auckland Medical Group last summer and so pleased that I did. Reception staff are always friendly and helpful, if they can't answer my query straight away they always find the information and get back in touch. I've never had a problem getting an appointment, sometimes it's a phone appointment and that's all I.need but have also never had a problem getting face to face appointments if that's what I need. I order my prescription on line and they are always ready promptly. So thank you Auckland Medical Group, great staff great service.
If I could give no stars I would... impossible to get to see a Dr..and now you have to fill a questionnaire in online then your put in contact with 111 to speak to an unqualified person of no use ...use to be able to book an appointment online to see an actual Dr not anymore...And why do you have to tell your ailments to a receptionist who is also unqualified to make the decision if you should see a Dr or not...even telephone appointment are get less and less.. ridiculous ...
I have been Registered with this surgery for Since I was 11-12 I’m now 25. Overall I’d say the staff are pleasant and friendly however, if you would like an appointment to see someone then you must ring at exactly 8am but 9/10 out of ten the line is engaged and you are unable to get through. If you are lucky enough to get through, there is absolutely no thought give to if the person on the other end of the line is vulnerable. Both my self and fiancé have struggled massively with our mental health over the pandemic and there has been little support from are gp other than to put us on some medication and ask us what we want to do with it? I’m sorry but you guys are meant to be the professionals the experts I’m a landscaper? what do I know about taking medication? I have also had a reoccurring issue with my stomach that I’ve been living with since the age of 12-13 and I’m at my wits end trying to get the Doctors to figure it out but the is little to no interest. I genuinely appreciate that the GP surgeries up and down the country have been pressed to the limit with the current climate. This however does not excuse the flaws in customer care and consideration. The booking system that the trust uses is a one of chaos and works on a first come first serve basis. Which has left the GP surgery’s in and around the Bishop Auckland area seeming uncaring and cold.
This surgery is a Joke, Practice Manager couldn't run a bath and the staff well they can get not be good as their managers. Due to their incompetence and lack of care and fobbing off that you are not allowed a face to face appointment I have had no option but to take matters further. GPs taking P*** because of covid doing as little and as they refuse to see you diagnose you over phone, give you medication that is pointless and only way you get medical help is via A&E

Registered during Covid Lockdown. March 2020 - Medical team uninterested in a phone review of my medical problems. I knew this because when I rang to ask for a Bronchial Dilator It was like getting blood out of a stone and when I asked for a repeat prescription it was not forthcoming because the people who run the place for the lazy Drs are the Receptionists. Then I was "pressured" to come in to the Surgery for bloods, I had done in January when in Lockdown. in July 2020, so when I declined because if anywhere was a cross infection risk it was a Medical Practice. So I declined and that was got at by Doctors Practice nurses feeling guilty with nothing to do, having been isolated from the Community for 5 months. Today 01/09 Boris admits the second pandemic is not over. , I had had enough by 15th August.
Bad attitudes you put in a prescription on friday and still not done by Tuesday when it is an important prescription for someone who has copd the staff are extremely rude sont have compassion at all my husband is only at that surgery because i can not get him registered at another practice due to covid 19
For the most part Auckland medical group have been great since moving to the area 8 years ago. However I find certain receptionists to be very rude and disrespectful. Which isn't acceptable when dealing with vulnerable patients. I would complain but it wont get me anywhere.
When I actually get an opportunity to see a doctor or nurse they're usually quite helpful receptionists can appear quite rude, been trying every day for the last week for an appointment eventually get one and now it's cancelled they need an overflow
