Has such a great range. Is quite dark inside with narrow paths. They should put a notice on their website and shop front that there's a cat instore for anyone with allergies. I went with my 4 yr old who is severely allergic to cats, it's the only reason I put it down from 5 stars to 3.
I've been to this shop several times since I like to support local businesses, but I always leave frustrated as their selection is very poor. And after my last visit, I realised I had paid much higher prices than other art supply shops in London. Almost double the price for colour pencils.
An extensive range of materials and helpful staff. Would have given it five stars had I not been bitten by the shop’s cat!
The store was great, it has affordable prices, good quality materials, and a large range of art supplies available. The staff are helpful aswell.
Great quality canvases on the roll. I would give it 5 stars but will not as they don’t deliver outside of London.
The best place in london for buying art supplies! I wish I had discovered it earlier! A whole corridor with the paints and mediums of "GOLDEN"!!!
It is a good art store, but please be aware that the student discount only applies to university students. If you study art at the college or elsewhere, you are not eligible. Due to this petty attitude, my daughter will shop somewhere else next time.
Enjoyed it quite a bit. My partner and I came here a few years ago while it was at its old location, it was bigger then and had a better selection of the materials I use. Positives -A black cat lives there he bites so be careful if you want pets. -Great selection of oil paints, mediums, colour pencils, pastels and paper/canvas. -Some of their own branded art materials looked super interesting, including unusual length large brushes if your working larger scale etc. Negatives -Not very friendly staff - not rude, just didn't leave the best impression. -Could have more watercolours, brushes very picked apart, but I think in their defense they normally would have loads more and gouache unfortunately all the bits I came for. -It was very hidden away, no worries we expected that, but their sign was not out and it was quite challenging to spot them due to lack of branding even near their entrance.
A little hard to find vut I got there in the end. Had high hopes for the place as reviews were decent but I found it to be on the overpriced side. However they did have a large range of canvas and canvas board as well as brushes and other materials.
