You'll find everything you need in this quirky shop for fantasy and sci fi the owner is great, had a good chat with him The full discworld series is here and all the Tolkiens, Neil Gaimans, Ray Bradbury etc. Cash only there's a cash machine in the village if you forget. Both new and second hand books here, also extensive signed, first edition books etc if you collect those.

Absolutely loved this bookshop! We went to several bookshops in Wigtown, but this was by far the best for nonfiction which is what I was looking for. I found books I have been looking for for years, all excellent condition and very reasonable cost! Lovely man who runs the place, knew exactly which shelf had which author, excellent knowledge of the stock and had clearly read a lot of the ones I was buying too! Wonderful place, I got 6 books and wish I had been able to buy more!

Quirky book shop containing all sorts of fantasy and sci-fi books new and old. Lots of collectors items too. Spread out through out about rooms in a lovely older gents home. In the town of Wigtown where it seems a lot of people have converted their homes into book shops!
We visited today and this was genuinely the coolest bookshop that we have ever seen. A veritable treasure trove of interesting curios from the science fiction/horror/fantasy genres. A geek's paradise!
What a great book shop. Extensive range of stock , Well organised , easy to find what we were looking for . A very helpful owner who knows his stock well. Highly recommend a visit .
On the day of our visit it hosted a charity event. It is good to see these non-Christian spaces being used inclusively for charities which, ultimately, benefit us all irrespective of creed.
House made into a shop with many books in many rooms. Well worth a visit for horror, crime and scfi books.
A unique experience, with a huge selection of "genre" material and a guide who really knows his stuff.
