This has become my new favourite local breakfast place. The service is good and always with a smile. The prices are perfect and the portions leave you full and happy. The coffee is good although my oat lattes don't taste as strong and creamy here but I don't want to fault them for this as their coffee is good in general and they have remade me mine when I wasn't satisfied!
Small and popular brunch spot the service is efficient and attentive. Portion sizes were good maybe a little too much which I don’t usually say. Avocado on toast needed some seasoning, lemon and olive oil. The food was rather bland but I do appreciate that some people prefer their food that way. Nice hash browns and enjoyed the freshly squeezed OJ. I may give another dish a go next time and see if it’s any better.
My husband is always talking about the breakfast sausages in the UK, and was disappointed in the first few breakfasts we had during our trip. Then we went to Astro Cafe, and it was everything he had been hoping for. The food was high quality and delicious. The portions were extremely generous. Everything was fresh. The egg yolks were bright yellow, and the orange juice tasted freshly squeezed even if we hadn't seen the juicer up front. We also appreciated the baked goods case at the front where we grabbed a few pastries to go at the end. There was some vegan oat pastry with fruit in it that was delightful. Being extremely jetlagged, we greatly appreciated the all-day breakfast food options. We also thought the prices were fantastic, compared to what we're used to for this level of quality in Los Angeles. Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options, and plenty of vegan options including some pastries Dietary restrictions: Everything was clearly labeled with dietary info for vegans, dairy, nuts, etc
I popped in here while my car was being fixed close by and was recommended to give this place a try. The staff were all friendly, quick, and helpful. I ordered the American style breakfast, and it was utterly delicious!!! The pancakes were thick and fluffy and perfectly cooked, as was the rest of the delicious meal. I left full and satisfied, with a smile on my face. Vegetarian options: A good amount of vegetarian and vegan options were on offer, so I'd be happy to take my friends and relatives without worrying they'd leave hungry. Dietary restrictions: gluten-free and other dietary options were available, and the staff are happy to help and accommodate where possible.
Been ages since I last had breakfast pancakes and I heard they were very good here from staff at Bethwall climbing centre. They surely didn’t disappoint! I had the pancakes with fruit with a side of turkey bacon, my friend joy had hers with bacon. Coffee was also good Service was friendly & efficient too. Will definitely visit this place again soon!
Astro café is the best cafe in all of Bethnal Green! Breakfast, lunch, dinner, they cover it all. One of the businesses that survived the pandemic by pivoting: added takeaway coffee/smoothie/juice bar, and upgraded dishes and decor. Same lovely service as ever. Just fabulous every time.Food: 5/5
Delicious and beautiful plates, good coffee, smiling service. First time I just bought cinnamon rolls to go. They were very good. On Sunday morning we had the veggie and full English breakfast, they were outstanding, and service was fluent even if the place was full. Today we ended with the very beautiful fruit pancakes and porridge with fruits, once more it was deliciously perfect. Highly recommended place !
Nice brunch spot! Got the American Style Pancakes, a croissant, and a latte. The portion was great. One thing I’d say is that the croissant was a bit dry but the pancakes were amazing!
This is a lovely cafe to visit. I had a veggie breakfast and my friend had a vegan breakfast. Both were abundant with yummy goodies, which left us feeling full and satisfied. Coffee was spot on, and service was friendly and efficient. I'm only marking down because it was a bit cold and there didn't appear to be any obvious heater. Just to say, it had snowed outside and was exceptionally cold outside, so don't let this put you off from visiting! I'll be back.
Update: Came back for food and it was delicious I had salmon scrambled eggs and avocado and it was all perfect. Just stopped in for a coffee, but will be back as the food looked delicious. The waitress was super friendly and the coffee is nice.
