My mam was admitted to Ashwood following a short stay in hospital to receive palliative care it was thanks to the manager for chasing up paperwork and dealing with social services that got my mam a room.nShe was made welcome from the minute she entered the home by all staff on duty, sadly my mother did not get full benefit of the care as she died in the early hours of the next morning. My daughter has worked at the home for 23yrs since it opened and has nothing but praise for the home and has a good day rapport with residents,families and work colleagues.
My experience with Ashwood Park has been a memorable one. The first time I visited, I was utterly confused and lost trying to find my way to the home, the manager went out of her way to pick me up and made me feel at home. I've experienced genuine act of kindness from other members of staff over time. I will always choose Ashwood Park a million times over.
Well what can I say but the manager of Ashwood care home is a Bare face lair. I have complaint about the manager and the very poor service we received of her at the time of my mam going in to this care home. Needless to say we did not put my mam in to this care home due to the first impressions and very poor service we received off the manager and she is now very happy in her care home in peterlee and now permanently in this home. I can not comment on the care staff or the Quality of care she would of received in Ashwood care home as she did not go in to Ashwood My complaint went though all 3 Stages of complaints and we got 3 different responsive with the manager still telling Bare face lairs.
Nice care home. Beautiful garden in the centre of the compound. The kitchen staff makes lovely meals. Client centred care and supportive staff.
Lovely home to work for all residents happy and well cared for the staff are amazing to work with i have many memories here great support from management
